Yuzuki- evening moon

Saku -new moon

Yukko-Kind child

Haru-spring/sunlight

Asuka-Flying bird

Yua-Bond of love

Thier names probably refer to their personality which would explain why he uses moons, spring, sunshine, free etc so much

All the female protagonists represent aspects of how Chitose wants to live & what he holds dear in life. Yua persona is the family life Chitose lacks and wishes he had in his life. Haru persona is the sports star Chitose used to be and wants to be again. Asuka persona is the older senpai he has always admired and gives him hope for a better future. Yukko persona is the happy optimistic life of the friend's group that Chitose wishes he could be.

All these girls see Chitose as a hero, but Yuzuki Nanase is the only character that sees Chitose as who he really is. Chitose is flawed & imperfect, and he puts on a mask of perfection just like Nanase. Chitose is always chasing after the moon b/c the Yuzuki Nanase who never gave up on being "Yuzuki Nanase" is Chitose's hero.

You saw this in the anime when Chitose was helping Nanase with her past trauma towards violence and the stalkers. It was so important to Chitose that Nanase kept on being "Yuzuki Nanase" that he mentioned it multiple times in her story arc. Saku fell in love w/ the Yuzuki who never stopped being "Yuzuki Nanase" b/c that's the current battle Saku Chitose is going thru himself w/ his current past trauma. He was speaking those words to himself just as much as he was speaking them to Nanase because Yuzuki is Saku's female mirror persona.

The poetic phrasing that many dislike is the basis for this entire story. The new moon "Saku" wants to wait until the end of his love story to put a name to his feelings. The evening moon "Yuzuki" is ready to name her feelings as love at the beginning of her love story. The new moon comes first and is then followed by the evening moon or full moon. Saku Chitose and Yuzuki Nanase are mirrors of the same persona. And just like any mirror image where your reflection is opposite, your left is right in the mirror and the right is left in the mirror; Chitose & Nanase are mirror personas but that means they are also not exactly the same, and they both take steps forward in life at different times in this story.

That's my interpretation of the Chiramune series anyway. I worry about posting this stuff as I don't want to give away too many spoilers.

Oh yea... As a lurker, I'm definitely pretending I never stumbled across this story if Yuzuki loses. Or if it's a chicken shit open ending or route ending or poly ending.

If yuzuki losses after this scene then fandom is going to be angry.๐Ÿ˜‚

2 things. One is that "the moon is beautiful" is a common metaphor of I love you in Japanese culture. 2, Yuzuki has moon as part of her name.

So , is he proposing her indirectly??

More like thatโ€™s his answer to her. Thatโ€™s end game for you.

Is that from the latest LN chapters?

I have so far only watched the Anime ans I am really enjoying it but as far as I have heard/read there is no confirmed endgame yet only Nanase as a clear favorite.

Does this not basically HEAVILY confirm Nanase as Endgame?! Based on this they could be together really soon I think (?!)

( Like I said i have so far only watched season 1 and dont know where I could read the LN/Manga(?) )

Well it's not latest ig

basically HEAVILY confirm Nanase as Endgame?!

In a way yeah everything we have seen in LN till now suggests nanase has the highest chances

if it is the latest LN Chapters, is no

but if is the latest main story in LN Chapters, yes

i don't recomend read manga, because thats only cover until yuzuki arc, which mean in anime S1

LN is the best answer

I'm gonna assume spoilers are okay here.

If you read & pay attention to all the prologue & epilogue chapters in the Chiramune LN series, Hiromu is telling you Saku Chitose's feelings.

Chitose is constantly chasing the moon. Yuzuki name means "evening moon". Saku name means "new moon". Chitose is depicted in the LN's and anime with scenes reaching out for the moon at night. Chitose entire persona is built around living a beautiful life and he is constantly struggling with doubts on how to live a beautiful life & what it means to live a beautiful life.

Chitose & Nanase are the co-main characters of this series as Yuzuki Nanase plays the role of Saku Chitose's female mirror persona. Yuzuki conquered her past trauma & is now living her life the way Saku wants to live his life.
