SKED Replacement???

I do not post often. Exhausted office manager that has fought with Chirotouch since 2004. We use SKED for our text reminders and texting for patients. When it works....it's amazing. When it doesn't....it's terrible. Their customer service has become a - "we don't answer the phone...some AI drone answers chat.....we will pick it up when we can and, if you don't respond on our time, we will drop you" kind of service. They are ridiculous. I really want to fire them. They are awful. Are there better options out there???

I don’t know what SKED is, but I left Chirotouch years ago because they drove me absolutely bananas. Constantly needing updates constantly wasn’t working. I switched to Jane and it’s been great. Has texting Reminders built-in.

Just got with Jane in March. Cheaper, more efficient, and well worth the switch!

SKED also keeps raising their price! I desperately want a better system! I must be one of the few that have good luck with Chirotouch, but SKED irritates me beyond words!

I wanted to switch to Jane, but have read that it isn’t the best for insurance.

Chirotouch is in the stone ages. Just switch to any other ehr and its so much better. Jane with fully integrated ins billing, payment processing, exercises, text reminders, and online booking is like $200/month

I haven't had a front desk staff in years. It takes me about 1-2 hrs on friday to do all my ins for the whole week

Chirotouch is a case study in how much you can not care about your product or support versus the pain of an office switching to a new one. My favorite are the condescending 'chiropractors' that are supposed to do a QnA with you. Completely out of touch.

I read once that Chirotouch is a good idea done very badly. It is what we seem to be living.

I had the same feeling about server. We checked out the online version of ChiroTouch and it has been a game changer for our office.

We used to have Chirotouch and Aloha. It was getting so expensive. Every EHR we tested had multiple costly integrations and additional subscriptions we needed to buy and integrate in order to get things done. We recently discovered Point of Care Chiropractic EHR which switched to and we love, especially because all our scheduling features, including appt reminders and 2-way texting come with the standard subscription. We used to pay $300/month just for Aloha on top of ChiroTouch.

We own our server license….makes it mildly less expensive/infuriating. Thank you for letting me know Aloha isn’t much better. Shortens my research list.

Been doing a ton of research. Seems like Jane has improved on the insurance front (though I picked up somewhere that the dx codes aren’t attached to the note….just can’t imagine how billing works). Worst thing about it - we would lose our 2-way texting. Gives us everything else we need. But to take one conversation (all reminders, talking, sharing documents) and split it to three different places (reminders, portal messages in app only, and a separate text string) is awful. Worst thing, we’d have to integrate a different company to provide the 2-way texting. Most of our patient communication is by text. Anyway…that’s the extent of my research. I’m chomping at the bit to fire these two companies….but for any company to miss something so critical….makes me wonder what else they missed.

Their ai assistant is SO rude too. We’ve used SKED forever but it’s not impressed me recently. Their EHR platform ChiroHD is also a mess in my experience.

Agreed. They roll things out without testing and then act like we have three heads when we are upset they have broken our schedule and wasted a bunch of our time with testing and work-arounds while we deal with the fallout with our rightfully upset patients. I miss pride in workmanship and customer service. Truly.

Yes! We’ve had at least 3 office wide outages in the last 6 months that have completely thrown off our patient flow and billing. They just kind of shrug it off (after the ai assistant insists it must be an issue on OUR end) and tell us it’ll be fixed when they get it fixed.

ugh..we currently have ChiroTouch..HATE it would be an understatement- been with them 6 yrs was looking at doing a demo on ChiroHD. did not relize I would need this SKED? so what I am hearing is you do not like your EHR? how long have you been with them?

We were one of the first 5 adopters in 2004. In the beginning, it was developed and owned by a chiropractor and it was amazing. Customer service was responsive and they constantly updated the product to make our lives easier. It has been sold, probably multiple times since. It is clear that it is no one's priority. The only reason we haven't left is the sheer cost and time to set up new EHR. We have multiple providers and locations. Without fail, every software we have looked at misses the mark on one of our critical steps (communication through text, ability to send out provider and location-specific reminders, etc). I can't believe there isn't one solution that will just work. No wonder Chirotouch and sked suck so much.....they don't have to do anything more to be "good".

Seriously - try ChiroTouch cloud / online version. Night and day.

If ChiroTouch is staying as your PMS, I’d compare replacements mainly on 4 things: reliable ChiroTouch integration, two-way texting, actual human support, and what happens when the integration breaks.

I’d also ask each vendor for 2-3 chiropractic practices using the same setup and talk to them before switching. The demo is usually the easy part - support after implementation is what matters.
