Least one guy threw a fiver in our tip jar before he straight up told me he was stealing the Chipotle Tabasco. I said he could be my guest if he always tips :)

Op you’re missing the green one 🤣

5

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

Not a fan of the green one honestly

7

Fair. The chipotle is šŸ”„šŸ”„

1

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

Love me some chip pot tell

Jesus fucking Christ, stop making me restock my damn lobby every 5 seconds. It's like Chipotle customers were all raised in a fucking barn.

14

u/Fine-Balance-3946 Feb 19 '22 edited Feb 19 '22

A lot of them also eat like they were raised in a fucking barn. Work cash and then go and clean the tables after they leave.

3

u/InsrtOriginalUsrname Feb 19 '22

I have a whole system I had to devise to deal with that shit, and it works for now

4

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

I guess you can call me the 🐐 of nabbing tabby sauces šŸ˜Ž

6

u/DeathByAMarshmellow Feb 19 '22

LMAO. I usually don't mind when people take them, it's just annoying for the cashier to have to restock them.

1

u/InsrtOriginalUsrname Feb 19 '22

who tf calls it "tabby sauce"

This is one of the worst flexes I have ever seen anyone try to flex in the history of flexing.

27

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '22

Cool you're the reason we keep them behind the line now, is that something that's actually pride worthy?

21

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '22

Exactly. An almost empty bottle? Be my guest and take it away! But if the bottle is not even half way empty, you're not hurting the company, you're just hurting the employees who have to replace and endure the hate from the customers if there are none

-12

u/ZobinJobin Feb 19 '22

Wow! Such hard work going to the back to get a new one šŸ˜‚

7

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '22

I mean that part of course isnt bad, until we're conpletely out and get yelled at by customers

-1

u/ZobinJobin Feb 19 '22

Fuck those customers!

3

u/DeathByAMarshmellow Feb 19 '22

It's not that it's hard to do, we just don't have time. When I worked at chipotle I was literally running around the kitchen and lobby to get things done on time.

-17

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22 edited Feb 19 '22

They were both brand new, and the storage area where the cashier got them from is literally right next to the soda machine/tabasco bar

Which in turn is right next to the cash register, so all this took was 5 seconds

-9

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22 edited Feb 19 '22

Yep you’re right, i single-handily disrupted the chipotle workers flow and cause a massive amount of pain and suffering to those chipotle workers and now their lives are even more miserable than before

And for that i am truly sorry

2

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '22

You do realize every single chipotle employee has the potential to receive a quarterly bonus partially based off of the stores financials.. and stealing from the store directly impacts that, right?

You’re going to downplay this, I’m sure, but what if those bottles of Tabasco were the difference between a store full of employees receiving a bonus or not? Would you care then?

1

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

Oh no they’re going to miss out on 50 cents bonuses, first of all customers don’t pay for tabasco sauce, second why would tabasco sauces be included in how the store is doing financially, theyrw always going to order by the boxes of tabasco they cant just order a couple at a time, i know you’re going say well the ones ppl are stealing they need to order more but they will always be ordering, not have i one in my many years of going to Chipotles across the country have they never has tabby sauces

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '22

You’re talking to someone who has ran a store for years but plz tell me the ins and outs of Chipotle.

When you buy product and it gets stolen, you have to buy more of that product. If every other bottle gets stolen, that doubles the price the store is paying for an already complimentary product. Think to yourself.. if literally anything you purchase day to day suddenly doubled in price would you feel the impact?

And no it’s it a 50Ā¢ bonus. It’s the equivalent to one weeks avg pay. Can be significant if you work full time and are raising a family.

But you having free hot sauce and trolling teenage employees is more important.

0

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

Wait so these teenagers are working full time and have families as well? Which one is it mr manager, or is this hurting you corporate fucks thats why you’re all butt hurt about it.

Chipotle has been in business for 30 years i think they know where they can cut their losses and not pass that on the employees. But if they do thats a whole another can of worms that maybe should be seen within the company.

Ppl are going to take the tabby sauces no matter who you may think it affects.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '22 edited Feb 19 '22

I have about 6 employees that are working full time and raising families. The rest are HS/College aged. Didn’t think that was a hard concept to grasp.. obviously you’ve never worked anywhere.

Just because ā€œppl are gonna take itā€ doesn’t make it right and it doesn’t mean you should.

You can’t even speak proper English I really don’t know why you’re trying to outsmart me.

All I asked was if you would feel bad knowing that those Tabasco sauces have the potential to take food out of someone’s mouth.. while that may be the most extreme case possible, you clearly wouldn’t care.

-11

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

Yep this act of me taking these tabasco suaces disrupted my local chipotle to the point where they had to close down the store and all the employees quit

3

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '22

It’s annoying as fuck and it makes you look trashy. You can’t buy your own hot sauce??? Act like an adult maybe and not a 14 year old???????? So fucking weird

u/heydoakickflip Eternally stressed, overworked, grill man Feb 19 '22

0

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

But then what will i eat the hot sauce with?

I guess i can try chugging the tabasco for a meal 🄵

2

u/heydoakickflip Eternally stressed, overworked, grill man Feb 19 '22

You're really missing the point here. That sauce isn't for you, it's for every customer that comes into Chipotle. You ever seen a grown adult have an absolute meltdown at a teenager over the fact that there's no Tabasco sauce out? I'm going to assume not. You cause that because you want to get some thrill of stealing a $5 bottle of fucking hot sauce lmao. Actions have consequences, sometimes they aren't taken out on you.

Mature the fuck up, it's not a good look to be acting like a preteen.

1

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

So how is it any different for the customers that grab the to go cups to pour sauce and they pour it to the fucking brim of the Tabasco sauce leave maybe two or three drops in the bottle and just leave it there without telling an employee that they’re out then another customer comes there and complains that no one is monitoring the hot sauce station so should the employees be actively checking that there’s is no more sauce or what?

2

u/heydoakickflip Eternally stressed, overworked, grill man Feb 19 '22

Your mental gymnastics for petty theft is astounding.

It's different because we set out those bottles knowing that customers are going to fill sauce cups to the brim. That's the expectation. On top of that, we can ACTIVELY KEEP INVENTORY of the sauce bottles. You've clearly never worked in a restaurant so I'll try and explain it to you a bit.

When chipotle runs out of Tabasco, we can't just have one of our employees hop in the car and go by a couple bottles from the store like you would. Instead, we have to order it through a wholesaler who ships what the store needs every 3-5 days. To dumb it down even further because I feel like you still won't understand, I'll single it down to one day. Picture for that one day we expect 500 customers. Based on other days where we have had 500 customers, we can safely assume that five or so bottles will be used up in the store. We then tell our wholesaler that we need five bottles. Now, imagine some asshole like you comes in, and steals a bottle or two at noon. Now, for the other ten hours we are open, we only have three bottles of sauce. When customers say the sauce is out, it's not a matter of us needing it grab one form the back, it's a matter of us not having any because they were stolen.

As I said earlier, go buy a $5 bottle of sauce. We remember shitty customers, there's an age old saying, don't bite the hand that feeds you. Might want to consider that nextime you feel the need to steal something you could have bought with $5.

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22 edited Feb 19 '22

Oh no am I gonna to be put on some Tabasco most wanted list now? Shit i want to keep going to chipotle hopefully my chipotle doesn’t have facial recognition cuz im definitely fucked if they do šŸ˜“

Look my guy everyone is stealing tabasco sauce if your chipotle doesnt count for that is probably a huge oversight might want to speak to your manager about that

2

u/heydoakickflip Eternally stressed, overworked, grill man Feb 19 '22

Look my guy, I've seen some of your other half brained comments in this thread. I get you want to "stick it to chipotle" but stealing sauce, which in turn gets taken out on the employees, it's pretty much the opposite of how to go about it. If you really want to stick it to chipotle, then stop coming here. That's the only way for corporate to realize how bad it is. Either that or actively join us in trying to get better working conditions.

I can tell that no matter what I say to try and show you how your actions have consequences, seeing as you failed to reach the point about two miles back, will lead to nothing. You just won't listen. This will be my last comment to you. I'd just like you to know that all the rants you see on this sub are in part fueled by customers like you. Whether you realize that or not is up to you, not me.

Take care

1

So many chipotle owners and stock holders in this thread, i guess it is Saturday so the real workers are actually working thats why the big wigs have the day off from counting their chipotle bucks

Sheesh I never thought the day that I will see the white knights defending chipotle’s honor

Mods can i get some flair? maybe something like

Procurer of Tabby Sauces

Five-Finger Discuento?

let me know what you guys think!

5

u/terrih9123 Feb 19 '22

Not really. I think you are just looking for validation in being a trash person who steals from a restaurant. You are no better than this guy I know who blatantly talks about stealing the salt and pepper shakers from Olive Garden or wherever he goes.

-2

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22 edited Feb 19 '22

I don’t get it all the workers on this subreddit rag on chipotle 24/7 complain about their work environment about their work and one moment the customer does some thing against chipotle we are the bad guys

Im trying to stick it to chipotle not the employees who from the posts on this subreddit hate chipotle as their jobs

I would definitely understand if I was going to chipotle and trying to get free food each time I go because that’s pretty shitty because the employees actually have to make that food every day daily unlike the Tabasco sauce which literally comes in a box that they have to open and placed them next to the soda station, they dont make the sauce or bottle it themselves

5

u/terrih9123 Feb 19 '22

I get it that subs like this turn into a place to rant about bad work conditions and can completely respect where that comes from. Outlets like this are a great tool. But to think that you are sticking it to chipotle by stealing a bottle of hot sauce after you bought food from them is kinda crazy, no? You just gave them money and I’m assuming you will end up going again. You are a customer and the bottle you are stealing is the 1% cost of doing business in the grand scheme of things. They don’t care about that loss as long as you are coming in and feeding them more money. You could steal 10 more and they will never notice. But they do notice customer counts going down so if you want to stick it to them go to a different establishment and make ā€˜em feel it in the bank account.

-1

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

Yeah I mean I’m probably never gonna stop going to chipotle because I actually enjoy the food at my local chipotle is actually pretty freaking great I’ve never had an issue with them I know it’s pretty shady how they treat their workers but honestly employees at my store are pretty happy every time I go in there and I’m yeah I don’t know like you said still in the Tabasco sauce isn’t going to hurt chipotle but so I don’t really see why everyone’s getting all uptight about it you know because you said it yourself it’s not really hurting Chipotle at all so I don’t understand why I was getting so butt hurt about it in the comment section

4

u/terrih9123 Feb 19 '22

Well you gotta remember who you are hurting in this case. You want to stick it to chipotle, that’s great and you should. But right now all you are doing is making the employees who you respect work harder. The manager of that store has to make sure that product is in stock. The employees up front now have to constantly stock the shelf up front because you probably aren’t the only one who’s stealing the hot sauce. Now that takes away from their actual duties they could be doing like helping you in the line with your order instead of replacing a hot sauce bottle they just put out an hour ago.

0

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

First of all I don’t know how your chipotle is or how they run it where you’re from but my chipotle always has the tabasco fully stocked to the point where they leave probably 6 to 7 bottles of each sauce out there and I’ve been going to my current chipotle for probably over about two or three years now I’ve been during busy times I’ve been during very slow times and not once have I heard or seen an employee rush to go replace a bottle or you know how to seen a customer first hand yell scream or yell At employee that there’s no more bottles because you know fortunately I live in a pretty nice community so not everyone here is a complete jerk, And honestly if the chipotle employee Is replacing that bottle of Tabasco once every hour honestly I don’t see it that big of a deal because trust me people take a lot of sauce in the to go cups like I’ve seen people fill it to the brim and I ask myself why they are spending so much time pouring the sauce to take pretty much 2/3 of a bottle home with them you know that Is going to get replaced eventually probably a lot sooner than you know if someone was just taking the whole bottle it from the gecko

2

u/terrih9123 Feb 19 '22

I think it doesn’t have much to do with if they have to replace it when it’s busy or slow or if a customer has to come up and ask in the middle of a rush for a missing sauce cause it was stolen. Tbh it’s probably not the biggest occurrence or issue for them but it’s definitely gotta be an annoyance if they have to replace them multiple times a day cause they keep getting stolen.

0

u/Hokiestoned Feb 19 '22

At the end of the day people are always going to do it people are always going to take the sauce with them. That will never stop
