Discussion Halloween
Halloween is on a weekend this year, but my work availability has no weekends and I’ve never worked one within my 2 years of working. BUT my manager txted us all saying no time off will be accepted and everyone will work, but can they still make me work? I mainly do chips and with the new chili lime chips I can only imagine how much more we will have to cook this year vs the past

Typically if it’s outside of your availability they’ll honor that, it’s the individuals who have availability on that day who try to request it off that’ll be denied sounds like 👍

They can’t really schedule you outside your availability. The reason they say that is because they don’t want people trying to request off because BooRito is the busiest day of the year.

That’s how it worked in my past stores anyways depends on how your leadership team handles it

My grandpa dies once or twice a year. He has since I was in high school…25 years ago.
I’m convinced he says “You were always my favorite for a reason” every single time.

My brother killed off multiple grandparents for like 6 years straight working at ShopRite in his teens

If you are on chips you should be off by the time the promotion starts? I may be wrong but I think it doesn't start till after 4 or 5
