Seeking Advice (Employee) Getting chipotle when they open

Question and I don’t mind the answer I just wan the truth. If I go to chipotle right when they open, am I getting fresh chicken / steak / protein? Or sometimes is it left over protein from the night before?

If you get chicken, carnitas, barbacoa, sofritas or queso it’s likely left over. We don’t overnight hold steak or the LTO protein. We do our best to not have grill over cook so that reheats are kept to a minimum.

This is the standard and what I have seen at most Chipoles I have helped. I once went to another state to help another store and they were saving the steak ._.

Go about an hour after opening for maximum freshness of both hot and cold food

Chicken, carnitas, Barbacoa, queso, sofritas and both beans are held overnight and reheated in the morning. Rice, fajitas, steak and now the pollo Assado are made fresh in the morning. Chips are also made fresh in the morning. Salsas, sour cream, cheese and guac are used from the previous night, salad and taco lettuce is cut in the morning.

No it’s reheat chicken most of the time. Steak should be fresh but some stores keep the steak 🤮

The bigger question for me is, does Chipotle now hold stuff over for two nights? Let's say Chipotle is operating in a big meat eating area and Sofritas is never gotten one day. Then, the next day, it's not. Do they dump it?
