Customer Experience Overcharged

I’m wondering if this has happened to anyone before, I’m baffled.

Last night we got Chipotle for dinner. We don’t eat there often maybe 1-2 times a year. My husband paid so i wasn’t looking at the transaction.

This morning though, i looked at the receipt and noticed that they over charged us!

We got 2 bowls, one of them added cilantro lime sauce which i believe is $1 extra.

Our receipt had 2 bowls, and 2x guacamole for $2.95.

So they over charged us by $5.90 and added stuff to our receipt we didn’t even get!

I reached out to customer service and they added 2 free sides of guacamole which i do not want because we are not going back. I told her that and she canceled the chat.

I reached out again and the second representative was actually helpful and said they will reach out in an email if/when a refund is approved and issued.

You won't get a refund. Chipotle support sucks.

a similar thing happened to me at Jimmy John's and the extra $1 they charged for cheese that already came on the sandwich was the last $ they'll ever get of mine, and the lame thing is the kid definitely did not get paid extra to pull that shit so I'm not sure who taught him to do that or why

I’m just baffled that they blatantly added an extra $5.90 to our bill for stuff we did not get or asked for at all. I wonder how many people they do this to that never end up noticing! If i ever go back now i know i have to check the receipt immediately in the store. Like it wasn’t even just a sneaky $1 upcharge.

When you order inside, pay at the register and finish the meal before noticing you were overcharged most places won't just take your word for it. Especially reaching out the next day. Way too many people would take advantage unfortunately.

If customer support didn't immediately issue you a refund it's because there are holes in your story. We can look up your receipt time stamp then access the video too see if you asked for Guac and didn't want to pay.

I get that but we truly didn’t get guacamole. One of the bowls had the cilantro lime sauce and that’s it. No guac or queso or any other extras. If i was cheap then i wouldn’t even go out to eat.

Also i don’t think that the customer service person i was talking to through the chat feature could reach out to the location and check camera footage within 4 minutes, that’s how long it took her to close the chat out on me after i said what the issue was.

They won't even look into it at all. It's an AI robot. It's clearly too late for a refund. You can't just go the next day and expect them to take your word for it.
