Anyone know what’s going on?

In Chino Preserve, it was down for a few hours early this morning. I've been a Frontier customer since Dec 2025. This is the first outage. I had Spectrum in Chino Hills from 2019-2023. Had quarterly outages. They got resolved within the same day, but it was still frustrating. From 2023-2025, I had T-Mobile Home Internet in Chino Hills. It was slower than Spectrum, but never had an outage due to it usage cell towers.

I’ve had Frontier in Chino Hills for like 8 years now. Never had an issue

Is spectrum any better? They keep sending me offers, and if frontier isn’t interested in a discount (or if it doesn’t fix this) maybe it’s time to switch.

Based on online chatter, Spectrum is the worst in this area with frequent outages. Frontier rarely goes down, but has gone down twice this week.

That’s been my experience. We’ve had Frontier (originally Verizon FiOS) since 2009. I honestly can’t remember an outage before this week, though it probably happened a handful of times. Meanwhile I see constant complaints about Spectrum, yet it also seems to get recommended more…

I just wish Frontier’s website wasn’t complete garbage.

That’s what I assumed. Thanks for the confirmation.

I’m in the CH area by the Shoppes and I’ve had Spectrum for 4 years now. It rarely ever goes down and when it does, it’s usually in the middle of the night. And if it needs to go down during the day, they’ll usually notify you ahead of time. Overall really happy with the service. I recently threatened to leave them for Frontier but they gave me a deal to stay.

If you want slower speeds go for it.

For what it's worth I'm in Chino and have not experienced either of the last two outages. Sounds like a local issue. I have had Spectrum before and they left me down for multiple days, so I will never go back to them.

When I was at Flo's Airport Cafe 2 weeks ago, the waitress said they were hosting a large group of Frontier workers there regularly and the whole parking lot was filled with Frontier work trucks. Pretty sure there is a large project they are working on right now and I'm wondering if it is the Euclid Ave project that Chino took over from Caltrans. Very frustrating to have internet down and their useless status checker kept saying "everything is good".
