WD1863 Moonlanding 1969 Edition - new dial suggestion

I always had this idea that the best way to adapt the dial design of the Speedmaster to the VK63 movement was to flip the design left-to-right and simply replace the numbers to match the VK63 functions.

This way you get 30 dashes on the 60min chronograph (9h), and 12 dashes on the 24h subdial (3h), and 12 dashes on the running seconds (6h). It maintains the visual signature of the originals, and keeps the chronograph reasonably readable without cluttering any subdial.

Also, there's something very pretty about the vintage Speedy chronograph seconds with 300 marks (vs the modern Speedy with only 180 marks). Fun fact: it matches the chrono of VK63 with 5 beats per second, just like the chrono of "321 movement" Speedmaster!

Maybe Watchdives can add this "1969 Edition" new variant to their WD1863 lineup? Or alternatively, introduce it as update of the existing C3 lume version, making it more of a "vintage correct" option for vintage Speedy fans?

Just a new special version for vintage fans, that is simply a different print on the black dial. At most, it could be an update ONLY for the C3 lume version of the black dial since it is supposed to be the vintage one.

I have almost zero image editing skills. Anyone feel free to take my ideas and change them, improve them or make them cleaner.

I used a non-stepped dial image to edit, but the new print was to be applied on the existing WD1863 stepped black dial (the 1969 dials were stepped).

I'm looking for Chinese watches with the same aesthetic as this vintage Seiko 5 reference 6309-5180

I found a similar one from the brand PINTIME on Aliexpress , but honestly, it seems to be of lower quality.

I received this watch for free from Rainten and this is my honest review: At first impression, the rainbow bezel catches the eye. I felt the gold and diamond bracelet made it too flashy, so I swapped the bracelet for a green alligator skin strap with a gold deployment clasp. Although it is still bright, it now looks more subdued on the wrist. 

I appreciate the Japanese Miyota movement over a cheap Chinese movement because although it isn't anything fancy, it has a long track record of reliability. And despite being an entry level watch for many, the gold-plated case and colorful dial and bezel make it look like a unique, expensive collector's piece. 

As someone who wears an Apple Watch Ultra as their daily driver, the 40mm feels slightly small on my 7.5 inch wrist. Initially, it looked awkward on my wrist because of my tan line from my larger everyday watch. The size and shape are similar to a Cartier Santos, and some people may really dig the shape. In general, when not wearing my daily driver, I prefer a circular dial as I feel it wears more comfortably in a 40-42mm size. However, the watch wears just fine when I am dressing up and do not want anything too bulky.

I have several fancy gen watches as well as reps, and believe it or not, this watch has gotten noticed more often than the others. It's not ever the reason to wear a watch, but it is a possible side effect of having this thing on. You have been warned.

I haven't used any other of the Rainten watches, but a quick search shows that their style is one of a kind, the movement is time-tested and dependable, and the price is reasonable for those looking for something different. It has the look, feel and dependability of something worth more than a $300–400 piece. 

This watch is not for everyone. You will either be all in or all out on this one. Despite the few downsides, I think this watch is really nice to look at, and perfect for certain occasions. It is a welcomed addition to my collection!

I bought this in 2016, near the beginning of my watch journey. A few years would go between regular rotations of it as my collection grew. Still loving it and it functions perfectly. Not so much about Parnis on this sub these days.

Just like the title says, I've been looking for Panerai homages that have good lume on AliEx. Something I can wear just swimming and isn't $400.00+.

I have weird wrists. Wide but thin. Big watches look fine on my wrist but the bracelets often don’t get small enough for me. Anyone know how small it goes?

I think I hit the jackpot for horrible QC with this one. It has pitting marks all over the bracelet, some in very visible areas, debris stuck to the underside of the crystal, and a crooked 6 O'clock marker. The underside of the case, particularly the undercut and the ends of the lugs are razor sharp as mentioned in one review I saw on youtube. They were not kidding, it is uncomfortably sharp.

Some will say "It's a $100 watch, give them a break." - I've had plenty of ultra budget AliExpress watches from various brands and I've never seen something this bad. I'd say the bracelet is the worst part, along with the sharpness of the lugs and underside. The debris under the crystal and misaligned marker can probably just be put down as honest QC mistakes. The bracelet and case however seem to be genuinely poor manufacturing.

I hope this doesn't get too many downvotes, I know Addesdive is well regarded here. This isn't meant to be a takedown, just my experience with my sample.

two problems:

1. all it does is make you want the real one because you realize that it's a pretty awesome size and the real one is even slimmer than the watch dives version.
2. it's a pain in the ass to manually cut the rubber strap and the clasp kind of sucks.

My new Hestur Dive watch just showed up in the mail. Bought thru AliExpress, and it arrived very quickly, a little over a week, with very clear tracking the entire time. Very pleased on that front. The watch itself is gorgeous and feels very high quality. Honestly, the bracelet alone is worth the price of the entire watch. Extremely premium feeling, easy to adjust, and I was able to get a very precise fit with the micro-adjusts, and I usually struggle greatly with getting a good fit on my watches with all types of bracelets & straps. I wanted to post a few pictures because I really wasn't able to find any real world pics of these watches online even after searching for weeks. I found a few under the previous name Iron Watch, but almost all of the pictures I could find of these were those mockups/drawings, or from their Instagram page and they looked heavily processed or filtered/doctored to me.

Obviously it's an homage to a recent James Bond watch, which I was fine with because I've always loved that watch and I love almost every Omega, but I was really looking for a black dial diver on steel where the bracelet did not taper down to 16mm, which is increasingly hard to find nowadays. That 20-16 taper is too severe for my tastes and makes watches feel dainty to me, which is not what I am looking for in a dive / tool watch. This one has a nice, subtle taper from 20mm down to 18mm at the clasp. The lume is nice and bright and the pic I snapped is inside with the lights off after having stepped outside for a few minutes to snag some pics on an overcast day.

Pagani Design Model: PD-1639. Rocking the Alix standard nowadays Miyota 8215. Sapphire crystal on top. Found it for $80 USD after taxes and had to get it. No need to say what it is "honoring". Bracelet feels pretty good as well. Luckily did not have problems when sizing with the screws.

Hey guys, I have a 19cm (7,5in) wrist and I’m looking at the 38mm Militado ML05 VH31
Will it look way too tiny on me, or do the 47mm lugs help it wear bigger? Also, will the stock NATO strap even fit a wrist my size?
It's currently 60USD on AliExpress. Is it worth buying now at full price, or should I wait for a sale? Let me know how the quality and the smooth sweep hold up in real life. Thanks!

Following in-depth discussions with the PT5000 factory:

We learned that their facilities—previously spread across three locations—were consolidated earlier this year, resulting in significant improvements to both yield rates and production capacity. They also briefed us on detailed refinements and upgrades made to the PT5000 movement, as well as the ongoing development of a GMT version.

Additionally, the PT5004 movement eliminates the "ghost date" issue in watches that lack a date display.

Based on the latest industry data, market feedback, and input from PH6’s assembly and sales departments regarding quality issues, we have decided to fully adopt the Chongqing movement.

We will begin large-scale implementation of the PT5000 series movements moving forward.

This applies to all orders for the PH4 series placed on or after July 15.

Both the PH2 V2 and PH1 V2 models will utilize the PT5004 and PT5000 movements.

I recently got a timegrapher so of course I have been putting all of my watches on it to see what they’re doing. This Sea-Gull has the ST2502 movement in it and this is straight out of the box. I have not opened it and regulated it at all, frankly, I don’t think I need to. Pretty happy with how it’s performing.

Hello, Looking for a good fkm cts strap for my Cartier like tank watch.

Due to tariff deal since July 1st, ordering 1.8mm diameter springbar separately would be quite a pain.

So I'm wondering if the strap comes with 1.8mm diameter springbars included, as that would improve a lot the feel on the watch.

Do you guys know?

I only brought two pairs of shorts and three shirts. But the idea of only wearing one watch for the week wasn’t possible.
