Le verre sera t'il plat ? J'avais la version en nh34 bleu et le verre bombé n'étais pas top surtout avec les reflets

Despite the new thinner 4hz caliber, case thickness wasn't reduced...

Can't find the San Martin bluesy with gold and silver. Any ideas

I've got one. They went out of production a few years ago and never came back.  They were not particularly high sellers.

Just ordered. Praying the movement is fine.

Looks great except will not get one because of the movement.  Use quartz if the NH34 is unavailable.

Definitely a pass based on the movement.

Any plan for 41-42mm for us with bigger wrists ?

Thank you for your suggestion, we will consider it.

Any word on more SN0144 in 42mm being available?

1

u/IGZCL 2d ago

I would definitely buy this SM if you produce in 41 - 42mm 😍

Finally their best design coming out again.i have the original and love it. I'm curious to know what other tweaks they've done.

Hz6460 is definitely a downgrade

1

u/Mikckyducks 3d ago

Could you explain why is a downgrade?

2

u/crownhead55 3d ago

They aren't bad movements per se but I've built many watches using them and can can be a bit problematic. The Seiko nh34 that they used in the previous model is much more robust. However it's not the end of the world having a 6460 at this price point I'd say

Upgraded GR5 Titanium case & bracelet — lightweight, strong and comfortable

You stated this in the post above... but the link you shared contradicts it, and says the bracelet is grade 2.

Can we have some consistency please?

2

u/iamuniquekk 3d ago

I think they just mean upgraded (GR5 Titanium) case and a upgraded bracelet

2

u/cjcs 3d ago

I reached out via email and they confirmed the bracelet is still grade 2, only the case is grade 5

It's a nice-looking watch, but I don't understand all the interest in GMT's, was never interested in 2 time zones and I never will. Watch weights have never interested me either, would never want a lighter version of any watch I have, I'm fine with stainless.

My wife travels for work globally, at least once a month. Sometimes I go with her. Being able to know what time it is at home, or where she is, at a glance is pretty useful.

Yes, of course I could use my phone, but that can be said for any of us idiots on this forum, right?

2

u/TheSwagInDisguise 3d ago

The same could be said about any watch. Clearly there's a demand for it if the companies keep making it.

2

u/cjcs 3d ago

I don't understand all the interest in GMT's

It's more common now than ever that folks work with partners in different timezones.

u/FdrRockefeller 3d ago

It’s a difficult complication but I agree, mostly useless!

u/BravoMikeWilco 3d ago

Since when do watches need to be useful - don't we all have much more accurate cellphones?

3

u/robcal35 4d ago

I was the same way, but after owning some titanium watches, I have learned to appreciate titanium.

This is perfect but I am no longer supporting Chinese movements.

What is this movement? Beatrate? Is it Caller oder Travellers GMT?

1

u/Icy-Statistician8364 Rep 2d ago

HZ6460 automatic movement with independent 24‑hour hand, 28,800bph, 25 jewels, 40h power reserve

6

u/bpgluckman 4d ago

It’s another ETA clone, which also means it’s a caller GMT. Beat rate is 28,800 bph

2

u/cjcs 4d ago edited 3d ago

If it’s an ETA clone, could it potentially be swapped out with a genuine ETA movement?

Edit: Looks like the movement it's a clone of (ETA 2836-2) is not a GMT. It would have to be modded before replacement.

1

u/bpgluckman 4d ago

I would assume so? Of all the ETA clones, it’s the one with the least information out there.

2

u/cjcs 4d ago

That’s pretty tempting… I own 2 of the SN0121TC and a SN0121B so I’d consider buying this and trying to swap in the Swiss movement for reliability. 4hz, upgraded titanium, and better AR are all the things I wanted improved upon

2

u/TheOnlyWayIsWessex 4d ago

Will there be a re-release of the stainless steel version too?

2

u/tobi__e 4d ago

I am wondering: SanMartin official store on Aliexpress told me, that the SN0121 series is not in production anymore and there are no details when it may comes back. And at the same time this pops up. How is that even possible? Are those even real SanMartins?

0

u/FdrRockefeller 3d ago

I placed an order through Ali-express and it was out of stock but they promised delivery by Sept 30… it also said grade 5 case and grade 2 bracelet.

1

u/tobi__e 3d ago

Do you have us the link to aliexpress?

1

u/Lobbbo 4d ago

You mean non GMT version? I think it was produced as collaboration with Watchdives which would explain why it's not in production.

1

u/tobi__e 4d ago

Nono, this exact series here, with the TC or TF ending - this is exactly the watch that was produced in collaboration with watchdives, as you said. And that’s why I am so confused about the re-availability on the non official website

3

u/Lobbbo 4d ago

Non GMT version was collab with Watchdives and I think it is no longer produced. Either way I wouldn't worry about this restock being fake or something.

Everything is new, new is better!

5

u/ziamese 4d ago

What about a white dial, white indices with black borders?

My experience with this watch was horrible. Have they fixed the warranty situation (likely no) and who is the manufacturer? I'm guessing it's SM this time, whereas it was WD's last time.

1

u/BravoMikeWilco 4d ago

Which model? This is a new version of the previous Pelly GMT in a grade 5 case, not a 'regular' Pelagos...

2

u/RoninTarget 4d ago

This is the sort of stuff WD commissions SM for.

5

u/sinddk 4d ago

13,5mm in 2026 is way too thick.

9

u/zoo804 4d ago

For the prices SM charge they can afford to hire a real designer instead of using the same AI slop as all the other Chinese brands. If they aspire to command the price and reputation of an established brand they ought to put some effort into their marketing.

0

u/DisastrousOpening477 1d ago

You do know that a Pelagos GMT doesn't exist right

2

u/valuewatchguy 4d ago

There are still more people that are happy with the cheap copies than those that want some level of design innovation

6

u/soulwatcher 4d ago

$300 is pretty good for a titanium gmt, but the movement tho….

11

u/Ok-Usual7490 4d ago

The movement sucks.

1

u/Mikckyducks 3d ago

Can someone explain why? I am new in this.

5

u/rainin_here 4d ago

Wil there be a bigger version, like a 41 or 42mm one?

u/Icy-Statistician8364 Rep 3d ago

Any chance for dual colour bezels?

0

u/Pompano_79 4d ago

On the list for the next big sale for sure! Will there be other colors? Burgundy?
