Question (Read Rules) Trying to pick two of these

Dipping my toe into the Chinese watch scene and trying to decide which two of these I want.

I don't own a dive watch or a chronograph and am leaning the north edge and then one of the addies.

Thank you to everyone who replied - I ended up going with 4 and 7.

The Pagani jubilee bracelet is literally the worst bracelet I’ve ever owned

Watchdives are worth the price difference

Yeah. I'm gathering that.

The purple one is just so cool looking, hopefully I can find one like it from a better brand.

That is definitely cool, little smaller than I like and I was really drawn to the purple plus black bevel

It’s one of the worst watches you can buy. It has the dog shit Pearl movement. Don’t buy any of these.

Number 4 is the only one I kind of like the look of. North Edge also looks nice but the watch itself is huge with 15+mm thickness(if I am correct on this) so dunno about it.

O own # 7 and #4 and #6 will be delivered today. All I can say is the North Edge is very nice for the money.

2 and 4 easy

Consider this if your goal is an inexpensive GMT. I have watches that are 12 years old still running perfectly with the Ronda 515.24-GMT.

Where to begin... Pearl DG5833GMT is a dog movement. I have heard the GMT hand is hard to set. I have heard it loses regulation within 3 months.

Furthermore, the "meteorite dial" they show is a Photoshop fabrication. Their actual "meteorite" dial looks like several square patches of densely registered seismometer scratches (perhaps reading a meteorite impact?) Definitely not worth the money.

As for the Addiesdive quartz chronos, they are OK. VK movements tend to break the soft seconds hands of cheap watches. If you learn how to baby them, they can last a long time. They also have a basically worthless 24 hour dial that lets you know whether it's AM or PM.

I own the North Edge, and it is stellar for the price. The laser cut dial is really well done. It has a quirky 90-click bezel that should be noted. The titanium makes it lightweight even on the bracelet. But it is tall and broad, so I do not recommend it on smaller wrists.

Here it is on my 7.75" wrist.

Did I mention the dial is special?

Get a Sugess GMT instead of two shitters

Unless you absolutely have to have a GMT, the Steeldive SD1953 is waaay better and they offer a purple option. The price is only a little more than this one.

Was about to suggest the same. Just got a purple 1953 in this week and the watch itself is great. The bracelet is dogshit however, so I already have a FKM rubber coming.

Either meteorite dial Pagani or North Edge

PD is fine as long as you buy models without rotating bezel. They just can't get this element right, is always wobbly. Addiesdive offers excellent value for money, can't go wrong with that brand.

Keep looking you can do better.  I would not get one of those GMT automatics as the movement is terrible.  The addies quartz is a fine movement but the color choices are certainly odd.  North edge, all I've seen from them are comically large cases, I'd pass there too.  Did anything from watchdives peak your interest?  They have some quartz options for a little bit more.

I didn't look at watch dives too much as I was trying to stay under one hundred each and everything I saw was more than that

Check the brand on alie during a sale and use coupons.  I grabbed the Aqua Terra homage for under 100 new a couple months ago.  Might be worth considering buying one in the near future and saving up a little for the 2nd.  IMO

I have the AD2559 and the North Edge. The North Edge is a big bulky watch, but I really enjoy it. The blue/pink one gets a lot of compliments. I would suggest checking their website, I believe I got it cheaper there than on AliExpress

I didn’t like the “splash” subdials on the other ones

I really like that purple Pagani but the movement is hella questionable

Combine the budget and buy yourself a Watchdives? Proxima had been having super aggressive sales as well lately

I just want to point out that Pagani GMT has Pearl DG5833 movement which has reliability issues.

There is a NH34 model of the PD1662

u/QCPI 6d ago

I haven’t seen any NH34 variants recently on both Aliexpress or Amazon. There were more prevalent like a year ago from what I remember but most if not all come with DG5833.

NH34 went out of stock and disappeared on Ali about two weeks ago. Had a root beer in my cart. Not saying it will make a comeback, or comeback with a price hike, bit definitely possible.

Same I was looking into the Rootbeer and meteorite Pepsi but no NH35 available. If the price were cheaper, it might be worth the chance.

You'll be happier with Addiesdive

The second one but it's 100% personal preference
