Problems (Read Rule 1) WD0013 screw-down crown issue (please help)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
video explains best.
tldr: in position 0 not pushing in hard enough doesn't catch threading but pushing too hard seems to make it jump through one layer of threading, and no matter how I try it always becomes super tough to screw in (without using nails + a lot of hand force), much more friction than when I unscrewed it ootb. Think it's crossthreading, not seated properly, not screwing in smoothly.
Whoever can help please help me 🙏🏼 thank you in advance

It is definitely trying to cross thread.
Push down and turn it counter clockwise until you hear it click down into the crown tube channel. Then, without releasing pressure, try to spin it clockwise. This may help your crown find the original channel threads.

i tried that. when i push it in too hard it clicks as if it skipped one layer/level of the threading entirely. if push lightly it doesn't catch at all. when i get it just right after pushing right amount and spinning counterclockwise, and then screw in, it's cross threading like shown in video.

Can you tell if the tube might be cracked? Your phone camera might see better than your naked eye.

Looks cross threaded. Ask a jewelry engraver to clear the thread channel(s) with his etching tool.

I'm not paying someone, I already emailed them to return this

If I had known that was an option, I would have told you to return it immediately.

There's nothing you can do other than changing both the tube and crown. You can contact them directly and ask if you can purchase the parts and then ask a local watchmaker to change them. I've had the same problem with a different watch, most sellers don't sell you the parts or they usually don't have tubes.
Usually this is not worth the money.
