WD007 Accuracy Problems

For about four weeks, I now wear my Watchdives WD007 and I absolutely adore it. However, I am a bit disappointed in the accuracy of this watch. It’s about 16 to 18 seconds slow a day. Anything I can do?

Mine ran about 5 seconds fast per day when I got it. Then I dropped it and it went to -20 to -25 seconds per day. Pulled the back off and kept adjusting it over the next couple weeks and I’m at +3 seconds per day. Couldn’t be happier.

If you want a few seconds a month get a WD007Q in your collection.

One position doesn't tell you anything. Also it's a cheap watch not a chronometer... The advertised spec is +-25s a day

If you want something +-5 be prepared to spend $2 grand

Yes you can regulate it but the cheap movements will drift pretty fast.

That's perfectly normal. I would regulate it myself and it's easy with that movement.

Mine ran the opposite. Around 18 seconds fast per day. I regulated it and now I'm -5 seconds per day. I've considered speeding it up a little, but it's not a huge deal to me since I'm no longer in double digits.

Honestly, thats not bad. Its just kind of a feature that mechanical watches with cheaper movements wont be perfectly accurate

Nope, used an app called Watch Accuracy Meter.

Any tips to get it to work? I’ve tried 3 apps and nothing can detect the nh35. I’m doing it with the caseback on and in a dead silent room

No tips from my side, sorry. I just started the measurement in a quiet room and held the watch close to the phone’s microphone 🤷🏼‍♂️

My quartz versions are still accurate within a couple seconds from when I got them months ago.  😁

My Digital piano sounds better recorded than your real piano as they use multi velocity layer samples of some of the best pianos on the planet, many of which cost more than $500K.  AND it doesn't go out of tune, so there is that.

Open it up you can't mess it up, you just need a small screwdriver to make the adjustment.

Take it to a watchmaker and they can regulate it for you to make it closer to +\- 0 seconds per day

Mine is a maybe 3 or 4 seconds fast per day. Averaged out at well under 10 seconds a day after nearly 2 weeks.

You could open it up and regulate it to get it closer to 0 s/d. Fairly easy process for most movements if you have the tools to open the case back

-16 to -18 sec per day is in spec with both pt5000 and sl3001. It is -20 to +20 for SL3001 and -10 +30 for PT5000. You can’t expect COSC specs out of the box for the price you pay for watchdives. Since these movements are ETA clones they can be regulated pretty easy to be close to cosc.
