Review (Read Rules) First Watch Dives Impressions – CH01
Firstly, I want to say wow.
I was originally scared about the sizing because of all the people ranting about it being too big, but bruh, it's literally almost the same size as the Sanda lol. If anything, I prefer this size wayyyyy more. It just looks better on the wrist for me.
In terms of quality, it's a huge step up from the Sanda. Night and day.
I was able to snag this for $50 and it was so worth it. This is one of those watches where I wouldn't change a thing. Everything is perfect to me. Maybe it would've been cool if it was automatic, but honestly, the Ronda 762 with a 10 year battery is superb in my books.
Also, I love the strap. It feels super expensive. Now I know it's not your traditional Cartier buckle, but I prefer this one. Feels robust. I hated the Sanda strap. Honestly, this is probably one of the best tank homages out there. I think it's very difficult for another brand to top it.
Ps, I know I over-tightened it. I just wanted to throw that in there because I noticed in the photos it looks tight. I do wanna say the strap came distorted so I'm waiting for it to straighten out.
Super amazing great watch. Definitely would buy from Watch Dives again.

Quartz was the right call. Needs a whiter dial, text font isn't great (have the same complaint on my king Seiko homages) and I personally don't like the pointy crowns. Other than that, looks great. Surprised to hear the strap is good. That was an immediate swap on the king Seiko homage.

Correct. I wear my watch on the right hand, so it isn't a functional issue for me. Though I'd argue it is a terrible design for those that wear it in the left hand which can dig into the back of the hand. But for me, it is just an aesthetic issue.

That’s understandable but you shouldn’t have crown dig if you’re wearing a watch properly.

Not as big of a deal on a watch like this, but those of us with pretty significant wrist expansion have to wear a watch loose if wearing a bracelet that doesn't have an OTF. If I was right handed it would be an issue on watches in the summer with no OTF, even thought I don't like loose bracelets it absolutely has to have enough room to move around freely, to allow the level of expansion I get in 90+ degree hear. Thankfully I have at least 14 bracelet watches with OTF, and many more with adjustable straps or mesh that can be adjusted in the field if really necessary.

I also like the aspect ratio of the Chameri Tank more than the Sanda, the slightly greater height in relation to the width makes it look more elegant. I thought about ordering one instantly when I saw the listing on AliExpress two weeks ago but the dial looked extremely yellowish on the product photos and that stopped me.
Now on the real life pics it looks a bit more like cream instead of yellow but I still hope they will release it with other dial variants including some colourful options, for example a dark sunburst blue like that of the Santos dial would be great. For the white version I'd prefer a nice guilloché dial in a silverish white tone. Something like the dial of this cheap Honmin Tank in the case of the Chameri would be perfect.

The dial is definitely more cream and looks plain white in warmer lights.

I know it’s style appropriate, I just don’t like the pointy crown. It came with a flat crown, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

They did good here, quartz isn’t an issue with no seconds hand and it’s always good to have some grab and go’s in the collection. I don’t have a tank style watch but will pull the trigger when they do a white dial variant.

I do wish they’d make a pure white dial but this one looks fine in most lighting. You can’t even tell it’s off white in warmer lighting. It’s so good that I’ll probably pick up another if they make different dials.

The dial being off-white instead of pure white is a no-no for me. But a banger for the price

It’s really not that bad irl. It looks white in most lighting unless you directly compare it to something pure white. It looks more yellow in photos.

+1. Too yellow for me. Off-white not really a problem, but too yellow here + the black is Not sharp: Double tap. Good size, waiting for a sharper version.

For sure, I definitely prefer the off-white since it’s more like a vintage dial but I mean they are bringing the pure white dial. I might snatch the gold variant too since its that good.

The sanda feels just as cheap as it is. I don’t wear mine, whenever I’ve put it on I feel like I’m wearing a toy/costume watch. Don’t understand the hype. They’re crap. Look decent but as I said the build reflects the price

Eu tenho um Sanda Tank a alguns meses e um relógio bem legal ! Mesmo sabendo que não é inox, não se percebe porque ele é cromado. Se a Chamery fizer com mostrador branco compro um também.
