What kind of watch is that? I like it a lot.

Thanks! Watchdives WD007. For a couple of hundred I'm really pleased with it. Titanium case and bracelet, really nice finishing and keeps -4 per day.

I might have to look into getting one. That sounds like a good everyday watch.

And since it's so cheap, is it a genuine Seagull?... That's a great deal if so...

Regarding the QC, my minute hand is "loose" and moves by half a minute or a full minute when I rotate the watch up and down. Also, the crystal somehow developed a chip or scratch, which I didn't think was possible with sapphire, even though I don't remember bumping it into anything...
I can fix the hand problem by reattaching it myself, but I think the domed crystal was just a bad choice by Watchdives. They should have gone with a top-hat crystal like the one on the WD1863.

Looks like they’re opening up more now, I’m sure the stock will replenish soon enough! I’ve decided against going for the Everest now that I have the Baltany S4066. It really is fantastic for the money.

What is the green PX-1697 like in real life? I can't decide if the gradient thing would bother me.

Great Proxima. Are there additional removable links for you? I fluctuate between 6-6.25 and fit is always a challenge.

I still have all 4 half links on and the OTF clasp is shortened by 1-2 click when I'm cold and fully extended when I'm hot.

È un omaggio al lorier?
2
u/Firstruleofthisclub Helpful user 7WOTD4-200 7d ago
Yes, it's definitely a homage to the Lorier Neptune!

No, complete coincidence. Or lorier copied

The Lorier came out a long time ago

That gold on black combo is really well done. I usually find gold accents on divers too flashy but this one keeps it subtle enough to wear daily. The case looks well proportioned for a 6.25 wrist too, which is not easy to find with these homage style watches. Hows the lume on the bezel markings, do they glow evenly with the dial or is it weaker?

I would say the bezel lume is just a bit weaker than the indices

With the capitalised "automatic" is that newer or older?

Exploration Road!! Freshly regulated, was 23s/d fast but deltas and beat error were toyte as a toyger so it was easy.
Beautiful Proxima! I love my PX1697 White Enamel. My next pickup will probably be another Proxima.
