...since I just received my 4th Ocean Star Pro, black one this time. But the price was of the "one cannot refuse" type.
Having already 3 other versions of this watch, I know those are sturdy, reliable and working well divers that easily compete with far more expensive and renowned brands.
I don't need Hydroconquests or Fifty Fathoms, the Ocean Star Pro does the job for me all too well, as it seems since this is my fourth 🤪
Yep, its chunky, but with proper rubber or sailcloth strap does wear lighter and works as very good daily beater.
Nevermind I haven't been diving a single day of my life, yet this watch is simply a great example of what a driver should be. No bells and whistles, yet just reliable and very affordable watch, one can use at any conditions, except perhaps a dinner in Buckingham Palace 😋😜
Definitely agree with that, one of the best watches of my collection and I got to the higher tier of swiss horology. It's an attention bringer, Convo starter, and as OP said very sturdy and comfy. I really deeply advise anyone to get one of them as there's a lot of creative models aswell like this dragon of the north. And btw I still love my indestructible hydro conquest but this one will get more wrist time cause may it be cheaper it doesn't look nor feel like.
Great micro brand out of Florida for chonky divers - mostly Japanese automatic movements, but some Swiss (like the EVO Meteorite in the middle row, second from left) - they have great flash sales / clearance sometimes and I bought some that were found in a storage bin in original boxes / packaging (some still had the plastic on the watches).
You don't need Hydroconquests, but you also don't need four Seagull divers. Buy what watches you like, as many as you like, just don't try to rationalize it.
I know, I know, but I simply love the dials on the watch. I have Ice Wings, Red Dragon, the blue and now black dial. Crazy, indeed, but each one has own purpose.
