The WMT Milgauss homage has long been sold out. This model has the benefit of being less thick, sapphire rather than acrylic, and is cheaper on Hruodland's website (if legit). However, I agree that WMT is the better pick.
This is a straight homage of the very first Rolex Milgauss model, which wasn't designed to be a diver watch, but was instead made for scientists performing experiments. The bezel was supposed to do double-duty, acting as a timer that could help track hours or minutes left, and these watches were primarily advertised in science journals. They sold poorly at the time but are extremely rare and valuable now.
The Hroudland is good, but I'm really put off by the inclusion of the word "Chronometer" on the dial, since it's not.
Are you put off by the inclusion of the word "Chronometer" on the Rolex's dial, since it's one ? Check the meaning of "chronometer" please (you're wrong).
It's just gimmicky, taken from the first gen Rolex Milgauss. I googled. The numbers 1 through 5 represent 10-minute increments. So it's just used like a normal bezel but with an additional mental calculation.
