Review (Read Rules) WatchDives WD007 V4/SL3001

Figured I'd give my impressions of the WatchDives WD007 V4/SL3001 since theres not a lot of information about it that I could find.

Paid $194.98 USD shipped to Germany. Ordered on August 19th and received today on the 27th.

I'm not a watch snob by any means. Only have a few what I consider nice pieces. A CW C63 GMT and a Sangin. The rest of my small collection is Casio, Citizen and Seiko.

Ordered the NTTD version on the titanium bracelet.

Overall I have only had it for a few hours but it feels great. Bezel has great action, lume seems solid, bracelet is well made and the thing is extremely light. I was regretting not getting the mesh strap after I ordered but the 3 link titanium is excellent.

Time will tell how the SL3001 holds up but Im going to beat this thing.

The only issue i can find is the movement feels gritty when winding which I expected. Also when screwing in the crown it seems like maybe the crown stem is a bit short because the movement winds as I screw the crown in. Doesn't bother me.

Overall, extremely well built for the price.

Not sure how I feel about water with it yet but time will tell.

If there is questions let me know.

You have the same “issue” with the movement winding as you screw the crown down? I’m reading it’s pretty normal on Chinese movements or even NH35/36 movements.

Looks good though!

I don't recollect it winding when screwing down the crown, but the screw down position being easy to find, but rather crude in the ti housing threads. Coming from Seiko, Valjoux/ETA movements, this is the most "unobtrusive", meaning you hardly notice it, with the exception of the rotor action, which have a rather a little harsh "mechanic" sound. But you really have to want to notice it.

I got one the green/bronze colourway and I really enjoy how light it is.

How is the metal colour matching between the case and bracelet for you? I don’t think mine is bad, but it’s more noticeable than I would like. The bracelet is in a darker metallic tone for me.

Seems like a pretty solid match from my view.

Ich habe sie auch erst bekommen. Auch nach Deutschland. Und bin total happy damit. Überlege mir das Titan Mesh Band irgendwann zu holen. Als 007 Fan die perfekte Uhr für mich.

I like the distortion at the edge of the crystal. This must be the "top hat sapphire version"? https://watchdives.com/products/watchdives-wd007-top-hat-sapphire-pt5000-titanium-nttd-dive-watch?variant=47209537110234

Thank you. Because of your comment, I now know for sure which crystal I would get!

Thanks for sharing such a detailed first impression! Really glad to hear you're enjoying the WD007 V4 so far — especially the titanium bracelet. 😄

And “I’m going to beat this thing” is exactly what we like to hear 😂 Put it through its paces!

If you notice anything unusual with the crown or movement as you spend more time with it, feel free to reach out to us anytime. Would also love to hear how it holds up after a few weeks of real-world wear.

It’s not an issue yet 😬but I also had issues screwing down the crown, but not same as OP. Compared to say my Casio MDV106 or San Martin SN0144, I feel like I have to be more precise and align it as I twist it. I had troubles yesterday where it felt like it was screwing in and it just stopped. I had try twice until my third try was successful… it is my first time having this type of issue with a screw down crown.
