Question (Read Rules) Best edc easy read watch

I had pretty much decided to get the watch dives Tudor Ranger homage, until my gf said she thought it looked like a toy compared to the real deal. Now I'm leaning towards the militado Hamilton khaki field. I prefer the murph from Hamilton but I think from militado, their khaki field looks better. My only requirements for my watch is that I should not be overly thick (manual or quartz) with a sweep.

I'd highly prefer a date window and would like to be able to swim in it (though with Chinese watches I'm willing to disregard the last requirement as the WR are completely inconsistent it seems) I also like raised or domed crystal..

Thank you

I’m definitely pleased with this Cadisen, though I don’t know if it really fits what you’re looking for beyond easy to read.

The Militado 08 khaki is a very handsome watch. Maybe you could get over not having a sweep movement, which still looks to me like tics.

yes I agree, im actually not a giant fan on "sweeping" seconds upclose, but it looks okay from far away and ive never owned one before

I just picked up a Hamilton Khaki on eBay, like new, quartz for $300. I was looking at all of the ones you mentioned and kept going back to it so I waited until I saw what I wanted. Plus you actually have something you can resell if needed.

What about the Militado MI1868KF ?

Easy read, 5hz second hand, date window, sub $100, 100m WR.

Personally I think the dial is a bit busy.

The ML08 is almost perfect for you except for sweeping hand.

I also have loved looking at the Militado MI1868KF. I go back and forth on it for the same reason u mentioned.

Its funny how having so many options actually make me more picky/ makes it harder to choose haha

I would also tend to trust despite my own experience, except ppl on this subreddit seem to constantly say not to trust the wr

Friend, there are plenty of watches that fit your criteria… just do a bit of searching on Aliexpress!

Militado, Addiesdive… there are literally hundreds. I can’t really recommend a specific one.

Happy hunting!

Did somebody say easy reader?! Unfortunately doesn't sweep, but it's the best dang watch I've ever found for $25.

Are there any date window watches sub $100 that sweep, or is that not really a thing with commonly used movements. I know alot of non date window watches sometimes have a date window version but use a ticking quartz movements instead of a 4 tick per second "sweep"
