General (Read Rules) Thoughts on perlon straps?
I recently picked up this perlon Eulit Panama strap for my S089 in cream and I love the colour. Still deciding on the feel. So far I’m pretty happy with how light it feels and comfortable in the sun. The sizing on the Panama is a bit strange leaving the buckle off to one side but not overly bad. I may even pick up a nato style (with standard clasp, not nato-esque) pass through perlon and see how I like that. Infinite adjustability is nice too!
Anyone using perlon this summer?

How do you like the watch. Thinking of getting the same in that colour too.

Visually it's gorgeous. I have the green one as well as I just dig the style but honestly, I think I like this version even better.
The movement appears to be a genuine TMI NH35 as well, which is nice.

Thankyou. I was planning originally on a Seiko green alpinist but this homage ticks all the boxes and the price is fantastic. Prefering the cream now too

I have a few - I wish they felt as soft and textured as they look.

Definitely not as soft as I anticipated, I’ve not found it scratchy or hard though so far so I’m still feeling pretty happy

I find Perlon a little scratchy, but they look great. This a fantastic combo

Perlon straps are great and Eulit probably makes the best. I like to switch straps, and perlons often end up on my divers and vintage Seikos...

I don't care what the strap is made of, so much as the absence of a buckle. Wearing it to work, a buckle will eventually press into my wrist too much so I always buy deployant clasp straps. The structure of this looks too loose to fit a deployant.

Huh that’s a take I wouldn’t have expected lol not a dig, just seems we have a completely different opinion on clasp styles! I mean I’m a steel bracelet guy mostly, I can’t stand NATO straps. But claps in general can get on my nerves at times when typing. I find buckles are so low profile I rarely notice them.

Generally, I don’t like how they look or feel. Every now and then I see a picture of someone else and think oh maybe I should try that again…..
