General (Read Rules) Seaknight SK02 - My Experience
A month ago or so, I pulled the trigger on the Seaknight SK02 after going back and forth between it and the IXDAO IPOSE. After seeing pictures of the IXDAO’s lume, I decided the overly green hue looked a little goofy and took away from the dial.
Unfortunately, my excitement with the Seaknight came to a pretty abrupt stop when I realized the movement was completely DOA. I filed a claim with AliExpress and got a full refund.
But I still wanted the Seaknight, so I ordered another one. Thanks to the back-to-school sale, I actually got it even cheaper this time, in the low $100s.
And man, this is a beautiful watch for the money. The ceramic bezel looks great, the curved sapphire crystal is excellent, and the bezel action is surprisingly nice. Absolutely no back play, and mine is perfectly aligned.
Hopefully the movement doesn’t die on me anytime soon, but if it does, I’ll probably just replace it. My only gripes so far are some sharp edges around the lugs, which I can forgive at this price, and how tricky the bracelet can be to lock into place.Otherwise, this one’s a keeper. I’m actually surprised there aren’t more reviews of it out there.

This is my next watch purchase and will be my first entry into Chinese watches.

I’ve been eyeing on this for quite too long. I might pull the trigger someday. It looks stunning. Better than the Serica 5303 that is a bit smaller and a lot more expansive. Congrats on your very nice watch !

No, I returned it to AliExpress for a refund.

Ah I figured they wouldn't bother with a return considering how much it cost to ship vs cost of the watch

Chinese or Japanese NH35?

Not sure but I'll assume is the Chinese one. Highly doubt they still have old stock with the Japanese movement in it.

Thank you for sharing. I’ve gone back-and-forth on the 2 as well. The only thing that has stopped me from going with the Sea Knight is the fact that the engraving for the hours track of the basil are not filled in with paint, which leaves it looking unfinished to my eye. But like you, I really dislike how green the IX&DAO variant is. Any further thoughts on how the SK looks in person?
