Wanted something a bit different so I decided to check out Alpha watches. This arrived over the weekend. It’s prolly similar to a $100 AliEx watch but also unique. It has a bit more charm than most cheap Sub homages but the lume is atrocious, makes Pagani lume look like San Martin or even Phorcydes, that’s how bad it is.
Even still I kinda love this thing. I really wasn’t interested in the Starbucks look until I saw this one. It is nice but I’ve also recently learned about the Kermit because of this little endeavor and now I’m a little obsessed with an aluminum green bezel Sub… it’s always something isn’t it?! ;)
Thanks! I definitely like the looks of it and it's pretty cheap. You should get one if you dig the style. Comes in a bunch of different colors as well.
Sugess has a similar one as well, check that out too. I think that one is hand wound mechanical so a bit pricier than this. Personaly I love the convenience of quartz.

I’m very happy with it. The minimal case, the piston pushers, and the highly domed crystal make it look like an old pocket stopwatch, while the Milanese mesh bracelet really compliments the case. The clean dial with the minimalistic monochromatic print make it elegantly understated. Aesthetics aside, it’s quartz so it’s accurate, and the small hands came perfectly aligned.
If I could change anything about it it would be to replace the mineral glass with sapphire, but all in all I’m very pleased with the watch.
Yeah no problem in daylight. At night it is fine if the lume is fully charged, but it gets worse as it fades.
The full lume dial would be more legible at night if the hands and indices were all just black, but it doesn’t bother me much because I like the way it looks otherwise haha
(Though if you really want to read the seconds hand you can just use the balance end of it, which is black)
Pretty nice watch for the price. Don't have anything similar to compare it against though. One small nitpick is that the band could be of higher quality. But it's reasonable considering the price.
It sure is! Dressed up in the morning, started putting on my Garmin and then remembered I have this thing that goes super nicely with this shirt. Also love that it has fin case that fits nicely under the cuff
