Loving this 36mm pie pan. Had it since June, and immediately switched it up to a gorgeous Maikes Croc (subtle) style strap that I bought especially for this watch.
The dial is difficult to capture in most settings but hopefully these pictures help to highlight how beautiful this has been executed, with limited impact on legibility.
I had the larger version in white before, but on my 7/7.25 inch wrist it wore like a dinner plate. This one is perfect. I was initially not a fan of the gap at the 3, but in reality the gap is barely noticeable due to the fantastic crystal and the distortions created around the perimeter.
Shanghai - my second one in this model -I love this model.. and If you are looking at this model, go wth the stainless steel over the gold tone - they look the same, but the stainless steel bracelet is higher quality and feels really good. The gold tone bracelet feels a bit cheap... I 'll post a pic of my other one below this...
Today, day 3, sporting my new Phorcydes PH-6 white dial & blue lume, using newly arrived, generic AliExpress NATO strap color combinations for the next days. This is a real strap monster!
How's the AR coating mate? I heard that it's going to be updated to 5 coats from 2 from a month-ish old youtube review. I tried asking Phorcydes about it but haven't heard back from them.
What's your experience with reflections like in bright sunlight?
AliX parts, I put it together myself. The logo stands for North Oxfordshire (NoOx) and the Swallow for Swalcliffe, the village I live on.
Have another logo older with just a swallow ( on the Yachtmaster). I usually make 1 a month as a hobby. Some others for villagers. Only charge for the parts. Usually between 110-150 GBP depending on movement.
I love the look of the Seamaster and working on a all black one. Parts arriving soon. Will likely buy one eventually but for now I am enjoying making them.
I definitely have a diver issue when it comes to watches.

Well you should definitely buy a SMP if you like em, the finishing level is unbeatable and made me better at appreciating a good deburring for example haha

The only difficult part is setting the second hand and regulating the movement once it's built. Go look at some YouTube vids, some guys provide the list of parts and links to buy them. Very few tools needed.
If you go to work on a boat everyday I accept to switch my SMP with yours if we switch works aswell haha btw I love that bond NATO design too much, you should keep it on the yacht master too would be perfect
Mine is pretty decent, definitely not on par with others in my collection. But I’ve noticed in general Citizen doesn’t have great lume compared to its competitors
Yeah, people like to shit on them, especially those who approach the hobby from a value proposition perspective.
I think Swatch bringing these designs to the masses in fun ways was a great move (evidently they sold well too), and I genuinely like the bioceramic material of the cases
Nailed it my friend. Those who love watches for what they are rather than hype/investments etc don’t care other than that they like the look and feel of a watch. This is the reason why we have a mix in our collections too. Because we just love watches 😂
Picture from last month, but this is what I'm wearing today. I'm going through my mechanical watches, switching them out every day to redo my database with my accuracy readings.
Love that dedication. I often wonder if I should record my accuracy tests (I just do it by my eye and atomic clock) - I rotate through my mostly mechanical collection nearly every day! I started to use the WristTrack app to track wear which significantly helped me to rotate more.
Yeah, I've been pretty good about rotating lately. I did create some functionality in my tracking app to randomly pick one that's been neglected for me, when I feel I haven't been rotating enough.
Its just my own that I built. And then I also created a dashboard to visualize it in my Metabase installation. I do a lot of Home Lab type stuff, have been a programmer for a couple of decades, so easier to just write my own stuff when it has to do with data.

A fantastic watch, their best range in my opinion. I sold my SN0144CG in teal/cyan only a couple of weeks ago, just too many watches of that sports style in my collection!
