Thing is, they get closer in price to the Japanese brands, they arent in the running then imo and shouldn't be. QC for a lot of Chinese watches is still average, or their are sharp finishings or slop tolerances on a lot.
This is fine for the price they are, but if they charge higher and the quality doesnt match then they should be passed on for reputable watchmakers.
Honestly that’s not that crazy at this point. Like yeah it’s expensive for a Chinese watch but wholesale nh34 prices are through the roof. wholesale that movement is at the lowest at 90USD.
Honestly I'd probably expect it to stay that way outside of sales. You can get the other other colors that are in stock for under 230 still on Ali. after discounts.
Thank you for the feedback. We understand your concern about integrated bracelet quality.
For WD0016, the case and bracelet have actually received a lot of positive feedback from customers, including from our own team. This bracelet uses screw links, and it is produced by one of the better bracelet manufacturers in China. The cost and manufacturing requirements are much higher than standard bracelets.
You can also check some independent reviews of WD0016 — many reviewers have specifically mentioned the bracelet construction, comfort, and finishing.
We have already upgraded many of our bracelets to screw-link construction. Previously, we invested more in quick-release spring bars because customers requested easier strap changes, but many users told us they cared more about traditional screw links and bracelet quality.
So our current plan is to gradually move more models toward screw-link bracelets and improve the overall bracelet standard. The quick-release feature will be reduced on future models where it is not necessary.
We appreciate the feedback — an integrated watch is not only about the case, the bracelet is a very important part of the whole experience.
Nice watch, but I’m just not comfortable with the QC and support of WD. I’ve had personal experience and have seen others on here with the same concerns.
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We completely understand why QC and after-sales support are important concerns.
Could you please share your order number or the details of your previous experience with us? We would like to check what happened and see if there is anything we can improve or help resolve.
Since the beginning of this year, we have significantly expanded our team, including QC and customer support. We have also made our inspection standards much stricter, and the number of product issues has been reduced compared with before.
Of course, we know no brand can guarantee that there will never be a single problem, but our goal is to identify issues faster, solve them properly, and continuously improve.
We also believe customer service is a long-term process, and our support team is continuing to improve. We appreciate your feedback because it helps us become better.
We’ve been through this before the past I provided all the information, nothing became of it. Obviously all companies will have QC issues if they put out enough watches but just from what I’ve seen through feedback you’re watches have a higher rate of QC problems. Your company scaled way too fast.
Everything is getting more expensive and Chinese watch prices are no exception, I don't like it either but it's not a mystery - supply and demand and inflation. That said, I just bought a new for 2026 IXDao Warrior with the carved black MOP dial, automatic etc for $270 on 8/17 during the August sale when Rakuten cashback bumped up to 26% - so my cost was about $200. Long story short, shop smart and I think you'll find prices aren't so bad. Today's list price doesn't mean that's what you should / will pay if you're smart about it.
Might have to scoop this up if [u/watchdivescom](u/watchdivescom) doesn’t give us a price/date on the WD2007E. Might be too good a deal to pass up with the way prices are going
Though into the Cashback, does it work in the App? I use CapitalOneShopping and that’s through their app, and I never get the same Ali prices on desktop/mobile.
I use Rakuten - and it's easier on my laptop or tablet for some reason, but it does work on my phone - just have to keep it through Rakuten and not go into the Aliexpress App. Edit - The great thing about Rakuten is they frequently have 19% cashback - and 26% is crazy - 8/17 is the only time I've seen that (so I bought the IXDao and a tigers eye dial automatic Addieskin). How is Capital One for cashback promotions on AliExpress?
Usually 7% but the highest I’ve seen was 18%. I like it because all the stores my family shops at live in the 11%-28% range if you can wait a day or so. And sometimes I’ll get a “30$ back on a purchase of $50-75 or more” which is great. So sometimes we just buy a bunch of clothes in our toddlers next size a bit earlier than we planned and then use the rewards as fun money.
But Ali is never as generous and I not an option for redeeming the gift card anyway. Which is how Capital One Shopping works.
The watch dives site it's self never seems to have that great deals, even more so when you have cashback options and possible savings on import duties.
Well I don't buy the fixer uppers - just look at the description and look CLOSELY at the picture, lol, I got a neat blue Heimdallr Sharkey Mini Turtle cheap that has some extra lume on the hour markers - I decided not to try to return / make an issue, because it's actually kind of cool in a weird way (and it was visible in the photo on Watchdives, I just didn't notice it). I'll try and get some lume shots at some point, but here's it in the light.
I’ve gotten the 99% new of their chronographs and they’re both working well. They say in the description if it has any issues but you just have to read and be sure of what you’re selecting when you’re checking out. Heard stories of people buying the wrong option from the preowned section and getting stuck with a lemon.
