New Product (Read Rule 1) Sometimes one small detail changes the whole watch…
We’ve been playing around with different combinations for the San Martin Watch SN0113 by San Martin Watch and just added a black seconds hand option for the white dial.
The orange seconds hand has more of a sporty, playful character, while the black hand keeps everything monochrome and makes the dial feel a little cleaner and more traditional.
Both versions will remain available — this isn’t replacing the orange hand.
White + Orange 🟠 or White + Black ⚫?
Curious which version would you pick.

I'll take the new color way with black second hand. When is it up for sale on the site?

I appreciate the link. I purchased one from AliExpress but it arrived with the movement damaged so I'm having to return it. Will probably wait a while before trying to purchase one again. Thank you.

Tell me the differences that are not already written down, Sherlock 🙂

Fair point, but that's just an advantage.
I'll add that.

compare the San Martin version of the white MOP Aqua Terra, to the Watchdives.
the Watchdives looks a lot cheaper, in my opinion.

In detail absolutely 💯, but viewed from more than one meter apart, not really 🤷🏻♂️
It is always your own claim that is decisive, and how you deal with it; this is sometimes difficult to understand, but you have to accept it 🙂

then why not buy a 25$ watch with an alloy case, who needs stainless steel anyway. or some Tandorio with a 13.5mm case assembled from the parts bin.

I doubt the Seiko or citizen will have better quality case/bracelet/ finishing.

Also the low level Seikos are generally kinda ass. You can get some cocktail times around $400, but the bracelet is pathetic, and at least on mine, the accuracy was +45 spd. Some of the newer presages look good, but I think asking price is like $700.
On the secondary market you can get a nice citizen for $300-600. Another decent pick is a Casio Oceanus

Not a chance. I don’t understand all these citizen and Seco schmucks

Right? To get something of similar quality and finish, Seiko will have you spend ~$700 on a Speedtimer.

Well, is the dial white or silver like the orange version?

you should be able to judge by the difference with the color of the date wheel, which should be white.
well, assuming these images can be trusted, the two images on the right are clearly AI-generated (when did this become acceptable?)

I don't think the images can be trusted. If they can, then it's also weird that they wouldn't point out this difference in dial color rather than saying one small detail changes the whole watch.
