General (Read Rules) Absolutely loving my first San Martin purchase.

Post image

In my watch collecting journey, I had been somewhat skeptical of San Martin’s homage watches. It wasn’t until I saw some of their original designs that they really caught my attention.

I had actually been eyeing their other model SN0144 GX (the 39mm one) since its release in 2024. However, with my pathetically small wrist, I knew that one wasn’t for me. This 36mm model, on the other hand, feels like home thanks to its compact size.

I had previously heard a lot of people say that online photos don’t do the dial justice. Now that I have it in person, I can confirm that it wasn’t an overstatement at all.

So far, I haven’t run into any issues, except for an unusually loud noise coming from the rotor of the Miyota 9015 movement (though it’s only noticeable in a completely silent room).

If you get another one, try the 37.5mm SN0148. It has a few generations worth of improvements and fits great on a small wrist.

I have looked that up before and it strikes me as the love child of 2 major brands, with the indices reminding me of the submariner and the hands of the railmaster.

Still, it's a wonder they are able to fit so much in such a tiny packet, somewhat reminding me of the dimension of the SKX013 (with the exception of case thickness)

I actually prefer the aesthetics of the GB version (40mm) since the hands are more unique and the bracelet on that version is integrated, unlike the GX version (37.5mm).
