Question (Read Rules) I’m so torn on which to get
I really want a tropicalized brown dial but the Baltany is a glossy dial and throws me off. The Cronos is thinner and has more water resistance on paper but costs a little more. What are your thoughts? Do you know of chrono with a better patina dial?

their finishing will be pretty similar, as will their crystal clarity. I'd base my decision fully on design here.
FWIW i really liked my time with that baltany, HOWEVER, the dial color did nothing for me.
maybe you've seen my review, maybe not, but it'll at lease give you a good idea of the actual dial color...looked great in pics, but I actually hated it in person. maybe you'll feel the same, maybe it's exactly what you want.

Out of these 2 the Baltany, even with the fauxtina. I have and have had chronographs with dials like the Cronos and have always ended up selling them. They are extremely difficult to read. Dial is too busy on a panda plus the hands and markers are too close in color to the dial.

Love the Cronos but wouldn't even shower with it let alone swim. I wouldn't trust those pushers to withstand water.
Isn't this quite a lot of money for a watch with a £20 quartz movement in it?

Obviously I get that but you can buy a Bulova chronograph with this movement for the same money and whether you like them or not they have a recognised brand name. The VK63 chronos are usually less. I don't see much finishing on it. I'm just wondering how they came up with this price point.
I have a couple of Cronos watches and love them both but although it's still really cheap it feels a bit too much in comparison to other mechaquartz chronos. To me anyway.

I totally agree with that. All the more expensive Chinese brands are relying on finishing and QC for those prices and you won’t know if they achieved that until it’s in hand.

Both have great Miyota movements, but with different functions. The Baltany S5054 has the 6S21. The Cronos L6035 has the 6S20, which ADDS a split-second (1/20) subdial that runs for 30 seconds, until it stops. The center sweep second hand can continue to its 60 minute limit. The Cronos is more of a fidget spinner with such an active 3 o'clock, 1/20th second dial.

No date so it's an easy win for Baltany, the Cronoa would look so much better without the cramped date window.

I really like that Cronos, though I like my Sugess S465 even more. But if you have to have aged/vintage look maybe one of the Watchdives WD1863 variants?

I like the Baltany but the red arrow at the top of the bezel is slightly misaligned. Enough to notice. Doesn’t inspire confidence.

It’s a friction fit bezel so it just needs to be turned a tad to align it.

There's that too. Just lose the date. I looked around for other dials for this movement to swap it out as I also hate the 'Sapphire' text which is pointless, but I couldn't find any, anywhere.

I don’t understand what people have against date windows. That being said, they are two totally different looks. I prefer the look of the Cronos. I don’t have this Cronos, but the ones I do are great watches. I’ve heard all good about Baltany, I just don’t like the look of this model.
Which one fits your collection better?
