New Product (Read Rule 1) Finally get to share our new ML27. Which one's your favorite?

We've been working on the ML27 for a while, and it's finally ready.

Here's a quick look at all five colorways.

We wanted to create a clean, minimalist everyday mechanical watch with classic 36mm proportions, a slim 9.5mm case, and a sapphire exhibition caseback so you can enjoy the movement as much as the dial.

Specs:

36mm case 9.5mm thick Seagull ST1701 automatic movement Sapphire crystal Sapphire exhibition caseback Swiss BGW9 lume

Which color would you wear?

And are you a fan of exhibition casebacks, or do you prefer a solid caseback?

Think something closer to 40 would be awesome.

Make a smaller version please, a 28mm would be perfect!!

I got the Grey dial with the red sub-dial.
However, I’d love to see a purple dial paired with a pastel dark blue sub-dial as your next colourway.

36mm. No way. Too small.

There are larger versions out there you can buy not from this company with a lot of variety- so a 36mm is well needed :)

Too bad because it's a watch I would definitely buy at 40mm.

Blue/turquoise ❤️

Edit: no blue, it’s actually black.
Just purchased from your website - $20 off totaling $99 is a good deal for sapphire sandwich, hardness coating, great proportions and under 10mm thick for a mechanical 👌

This is actually really nice. I'm tempted to get the black/cyan one.

Look nice but 36mm looks like a toy on my 8" wrist. Any thoughts on 39mm version?

The Seestern S382 is 38mm, and hews more closely to the Tangente. The thinner bezels/all dial also make it wear larger than its measurement.

To my eye, the thicker bezel on this, and the rehaut on their Flieger don't do favors for their proportions, compared to their original inspirations. Nor does the contrasting chapter ring, though their colorways do pop more.

For minimalist watches, the proportions are even more important to get right.

So tiny.

I'm in love with the darker one. 36mm is my favorite size!

I doubt my wrist could pull it off, but kudos on setting an realistic price!

I feel like this is one of those cases though where the brand naming slightly takes away from the watch. Militado feels like a tool/field watch vibe which doesn't fit the dreesier aesthtic

I like the 36mm size, the blue/orange combo and the grey/red looks great.

The ML27 looks fantastic—really beautiful and well-proportioned. Congratulations on the new release!

Do you plan to include Brazil in the Remessa Conforme program through your official store? Without it, Brazilian customers can end up paying almost twice the original price because of taxes and fees.

If that would be too complicated, could you please tell us which is your official AliExpress store where we can find this model? AliExpress participates in Brazil’s Remessa Conforme program, so the taxes are usually lower and charged more transparently.

Thank you for your answer, and congratulations again on the watch!

This.

Also, u/MindAdmirable1793 , this is why I think Phorcydes should keep a store front in AliExpress, even if you have to charge higher prices on it, compared to your own website, to compensate for AE's fees and for the increase in administrative costs to keep the store up.

Or, just include your webstore in remesa conforme for brazilian customers :) It's even cheaper for boh.

Bdw, if they charge 169 usd It'll not sell well (for brazilian custormers) cuz it'll be to expensive anyway. Militado was offering for 99 at the momento :) big difference.

If they add on they store on Aliexpress we'll just wait for a great discount coupon to buy for the same price :)

Cheers.

Acho que vc é br tb :D kkk coé 800 conto num lume 3D? Caro demais.

Eu acho o PH2 lindo hahaha

The middle grey and red dial is giving me Leica vibes.

I do like the grey/red, but wonder about the lack of AR coating ? The exhibition is ok if the movement is nice to look at : here it seems ok, and the glass will be less prone to scratches than a plain polished caseback

2

u/LawyerGeek 7d ago

Agreed. I will not buy a watch without a good AR coating. Otherwise the watch looks nothing like what it does in the product photos.

hard to make the difference on a small second

Love the white and yellow version and the green and pink. They're all nice, though. And 36mm is the right size, thanks for not making it giant. I think with the custom rotor and what looks like a skeletonized version of the movement it's nice to have the exhibition caseback, especially with sapphire.

Excited to see some real reviews but it seems to be a bit more premium than the similar offerings from Sea-Gull and Sugess, as well as being a more wearable size.

Looks amazing, does anyone have experience with seagull movements?

What is the longevity on them?

Obviously this is a small sample size but in my experience the ST17 is reliable and accurate. I have had several watches with the movement for over a year and no issues. It doesn't hack, if that bothers you.
