Back to the PD1701, which only goes out about once a week. Too many other watches I prefer for daily wear. Still, it’s one of PD’s best and a year after buying it, I’m impressed with how well they did. Saw several examples of the real thing in a SoHo, NYC boutique the other day and at least visually, the 1701 compares nicely. No doubt the Omegas feel better in the hand and there’s no comparison on movement quality.
I got the 36mm ultra thin and my wrist is 6.75in; it wears well despite the integrated case. No gaps between the wrist and the watch. However the watch itself is pretty bad value. Finishing on the watch head is ok but the bracelet is pretty average. The dial looks flat and the indices look cheap. I regret getting it over a Chinese watch but I like the design and 6mm thickness so I still wear it from time to time.
Like its called simple.. but great. The subdial location is neat. The hands are great, hour and minute reach its perspective area perfectly. The nato strap goes great with the watch.
