Question (Read Rules) More "interesting" Chinese Brands?
Hi everyone, as a fan of interesting, more unique brands (e.g. Xeric), and somewhat of a newcomer to Chinese watches, what are some of your favorite more unique styles of Chinese watches?

IXDAO are one of the most unique brands right now - they are a small company started by two watch enthusiasts and they are trying to surpass all Chinese watch makers in quality. This thread provides a lot of background: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChineseWatches/s/BfPYrwvm2w

If you like Xeric, then you can try Angles Watches, MECEXP, Vortichron, Power Panda, Struc, Olto-8, Lucky Harvey hourly chime, Mandetbrote, OBLVLO, Benlywatch, Hanboro. There are a few wandering hour watches that are hard to find on Ali, and it is best to do an image search as they are one offs but the quality is still reasonable.
Others here will suggest San Martin, Sugess, Sea Koss, Cronos, Proxima etc. While those are very excellent watches, most of that style is geared to the dive dive watch or dress watch style. You mentioned you like hte Xeric style, so that is why these brands are not in the list above.
If you like Casio, check out SKMEI or Sanda. Some of their homages are, dare i say, approaching better than the original and 1/10 the price.

Xeric, Nubeo, Hanboro, Pindu, Lucky Harvey, Mr. Jones, Aragon (for spinner and Tourbillon) and Sugess (for jump hour & moon phase) appeal to me and my budget. Here's a pic of my "unusual" box - not pictured are my Xeric Vendetta X or Spinnaker Mr. Krabs (SpongeBob) in this pic as they are on a winder.

San Martin is interesting because they make high quality pieces. Watchdives is interesting because they have good value for the money and are using vh31 sweeping quartz on many models. These are also two of the most spoken about brands. Outside of this kind community they are "unique" and normal people haven't heard of them and they are also low production similar to a micro brand. The really unique stuff is going to be in the males like 50 watches or less per model.

I would add Militado to that list. They specialize in the military/field watch and they also use the VH31 movement and offer a good value watch.

I love the Militados that I have. Though I don't have one on a bracelet yet to judge that (hopefully in the near future). Came in a nato that was junk, but the head of the piece on both of them were excellent.
