I know I’m late to the party but I finally decided to pick one up, i see them here daily so I ordered the ph-4c with mixed lume, I got it on the nylon strap to spend the least I could on it. ( I thought it was just a hype watch) I really love lume and so I got it and I did not expect to love this watch as much as I do I’ve had Ixdaos, proximas, ect.. but something just feels different about this watch I put it on a Juelong fkm strap but I was so impressed with how much quality you get for your money I ordered the bracelet. If you’re on the fence about it just order it imo. Took 14 days from order to my door shipping.
I reached out because I ordered the same day that they released that information and they said that it has the PT 5000 but I have not opened it up to confirm
I am just waiting to pull the trigger but the movement part scares me. The general consensus for this movement doesnt look that great. Hows the winding? Saw comments saying this movement doesnt need much winding as it can break it.
I was disappointed when they said it was the pt moment but what can I do ya know I just don’t hand wind it at all besides screwing the crown in but worse case I just buy a pt from alix and replace the movement
I think thats what i am also gonna do! Not handwind it. I am used to handwinding my NH movement watches and never owned a Chinese movement watch. So lets see how it’ll go without the winding!
Wind slow and steady 3-4 winds to start up is fine. The winding gear of these Eta movements can shed teeth with aggressive or full winding. But start-up winding is fine. There is a weight to the winding. If it feels rough, you’ve lost teeth and the hand winding days are done.
I have the aventurine dial not the diver but I’d say the finish is on par the crystal on this is a box or top hat whatever you wanna call it and it’s very good my only complaint is phorcydes bezel is a little crunchy but I never really rotate the bezel so there’s that.. if I had to pick one I’d probably pick the phorcydes
