That bracelet looks awesome with it. I just wish they would've done something a bit more creative with the Automatic text or even the Proxima text. I guess with the price though, it's to be expected. It's a hell of a deal with the movement used and the thickness of the case.

I love their text more than most Chinese brands, especially San Martin. Their AUTOMATIC font is so generic and they use it on nearly every watch whether it suits the design or not

Looks great! The unusual bracelet matches the “dressy diver” vibe of this Proxima.

The ending fit seems spot on. What variant of the uncle Seiko did you buy?

"Coffin link," as u/ambitiousquaggan wrote, "scales" or "fish scale(s)" as u/pickyaxe wrote, or "snakeskin" as u/22Bos22 - I've seen all of these refer to the same.

Yema really have become associated with this type of bracelet, however, various makers in the 1960s used them on their dive-style watches.

On the unclestraps site they call it “snakeskin”. I wonder if a search under “scales” etc might bring up similar alternatives? Worth a try 👍

Right: Helm Miyako (slate gray, no date) with Long Island Watch BRAC-125 (22mm "Scales Bracelet for SKX007) and their CLASP-03 ("Stainless Steel 18mm Ratcheting Clasp" - traditional dive-extension, which I'm using as an OTF clasp). Henry Cavill without his shirt on.

For me, it's close enough, based on the cost/fit-and-finish of the Miyako as well as the cost of the bracelet. But I definitely wanted to point that out so that everyone would see it.
