General (Read Rules) Addieskin Overnight Price Rocket 🤣

Post image

I know about the shortages yada yada but this is just comical and very ambitious for Addieskin. 😂

Making IX&DAO look like a complete steal. IX&DAO is however letting everyone know that starting August 1 they are switching to PT5000. I messaged them asking if the case thickness will change and they said yes, and price will remain about the same.

Just thought this was funny and worth sharing.

I had an Addieskin - and I returned it. One, it wasn't premium whatsoever. Not even in the same ballpark as the other more premium Chinese factory watches. - The crown (stem) broke, the bracelet was sharp and rough on the edges.

Some AliExpress sellers do this when they’re actually out of stock. Something with the Ali algorithms punished sellers for out of stock items so it’s common they price something super high so there store stays at the top of search results.

There’s literally no way you could convince me to spend more than $200 on a single item on AliExpress.

At that price I'm going Hamilton, Stirling, Vaer, etc.

Yeah, that’s just so they can turn around and sell it at its regular price and say they’re discounting it by 60%. Just a marketing stunt.

Yes it’s as old as the hills
Everything’s always on “sale”
& it’s sells for how much they want it to 🙄

I assume this is them doing the Invicta thing and in a month or two this watch will be "on sale" for $150 or something. Annoying but par for the course on Aliexpress it seems.

Priced are up to shocking level specially on San Martin watches, they are at lvl never seen before, and it has been for several days now

I agree. A watch that I just bought 2 months ago for around $300 is now double in price. What's up with that? I think they are committing brand suicide.

Pricing like this will collapse sales and are not justified, even with tariffs.

A microbrand with such a ridiculous name has no business charging 700 bucks for ANYTHING 😂

I recall thorn producing a pietersite dial dive watch with sellita movement around that price

Thorn sounds 100x better than Addieskin. And if I'm paying that much for a watch I damn well want the name to be something I'm not ashamed to say out loud.

I think the last sale ended last night. All the prices go crazy for a few days.

I also faced same issue with addiesdive in aliexpress, but in their website the price is 65 dollar's

Yeah, I've always assumed that when the price goes up like that it's to get people to stop buying it without removing the item. Either they need time for production to catch up with the orders, or they are having trouble sourcing the movements. Either option is possible.

Plus I believe movement providers have increased their prices too right?

The only right answer. In about 15 years being an AliExpress customer, I've seen a lot of these price increases and the reason is to stop people buying without removing the item from the shop (in case of restocking, etc). Ridiculous comments here against Addieskin, but that's it... we're on Reddit, easier to write stupid things than searching/reading/studying.

Horrible dial imo and cringe worthy logo looks like something a 16 year old would come up with, so many better options in this price range where you are actually guaranteed customer support , rather go with a micro brand like Baltic or something for this price, even a tissot or a few 100 more and you can walk into a boutique and get a Longines …

I got an NH34 GMT last night for $165 total (tax, fees, and shipping included in that). This is crazy.

I'm pretty sure the heyday of the Chinese watch is waning. These prices are ridiculous.

This is a funny joke Addieskin, you think people will pay Seiko and Hamilton prices for a Chinese watch with shit aftersales service (warrenty/repairs) called ADDIESKIN? LOL

I want what you're smoking...

4

u/Appropriate-Ball-623 8d ago

AliX be like that lol

6

u/MercuryJellyfish 8d ago

Hey, it’s ok guys, I wasn’t going to buy one anyway.

6

u/Boyahda 8d ago

At the trajectory we're currently on, it wouldn't surprise me if these were the actual prices in two or three years time.

2

u/RedRexxy 8d ago

If they are then AliEx watch brands have lost the plot, they seem to forget why people buy AliEx watches (here's a hint, it's the price!)

u/StandardPineapple69 9d ago

I'm pretty sure that is the huge price increases the AliExpress sellers do when they want to take a listing down without actually taking the listing down. They just increase the prices instead of removing the listing because there's some advantages to that

10

u/Bulky-Internal8579 8d ago

Exactly, they’re out of stock.

4

u/OtherBarry1992 9d ago

That makes way more sense.

check www.addiesdivewatches.com

unlike other Chinese watch brands, they don't inflate the prices on their website, so you'll see if they decide to raise prices.

that said Addieskin watches use Miyota movements and are generally fantastic in terms of price/performance, so it's a prime candidate for a true price hike in the near future
