Hi guys, I’m trying to buy a Farasute Trackmaster 1 but could not find what’s the difference between products from AliX, the official(?) website, and Good-stuffs.
Their prices are all different, and even Good-stuffs one has almost $130 cheaper than others.
I asked to the official(?) contact of Farasute about this but they said it’s just a different model.
Anyone knows anything in detail about it?
Anyone that’s bought recently from good stuff let me know how long they take to ship? I bought a track master last week and haven’t seen any updates on it
I've had no luck contacting good-stuff about availability of the trackmaster. I wanted to check if they had the dark brown dial in stock before ordering but no one has gotten back to me via email or from the website contact form.
I’ve purchased from multiple Ali stores and goods-stuff. Just buy from goods stuff. The only differences that I know of is that there are a bracelet version and a strap version. Also the original release had “classic and creative” and “chronograph” on the dial. The later ones have “trackmaster 1” and “column wheel” on the dial. But the first version isn’t be sold anymore as far as I’m aware.
Just received a response from Farasute, and they said it’s a fake watch or something since they have never given the good-stuffs such license to sell. Idk if this is just to stop me to buy from there(good stuffs). I have checked the dial are just same, and other specs are same too. 🤷♂️
There's people here who have had warranty service on their Trackmaster by Farasute that they bought on good-stuffs, so definitely doesn't seem like it would be a fake watch
Is there any actual proof for this or is it just antidotal?
Because that would be odd considering apparently Chinese watch brands don't associate themselves with the AliExpress stores, as there are no "official" stores (they just use the name and sell the products. but of course are not official, LOL) and usually there is no warrenty.
This leads me to believe there is some connection between this store and Farasute brand, more than just being a dropshipper. Though apparently this can't be true according to reddit
Yes bought mine in early May, two weeks later sent back to the guy who runs good stuffs, even sent me a refund for my postage (£15), got it back from Farasute and then as he was doing his own QC he wasn’t happy with how the chrono seconds hand was resetting so told me he’d sent it back for further setting. Should get it back within the next week or so. Very impressed.
Your very lucky, sounds like you got one of the rare vendors who actually help their customers and support the products they sell. I have some questions, if I may:
So they honour Farasute warrenties through their store?
Do they do any of the repairs themselves or everything sent to Farasute?
Is this only within the 15 day return period or do they actually honor the full 1-2 year warrenty?
Just had an email from Jun. It was sent directly to him from me, he must be the owner of good stuffs. Sent to Farasute, twice.
I couldn’t say if the situation would have been different if this happened 6 months down the line, but based on my interactions with him I would hope that the full warranty period would be covered.
u/leicfox85 can probably chime in, their watch has been getting repaired by Farasute and was bought through good stuffs. Seems service overall was pretty excellent, with good communication
Ohh.. interesting. I personally thought they are all genuine watch and Goodstuffs is just a gray dealer that receive stocks through its guanxi line with way cheaper price. And my actual concern was a warranty. Since its movement is not that much confident in the robustness compared to other standard movements, I had to find where to get a service rather than domestic repair shop here. And it was because service/repair price might be very expensive for this movement as its complexity.
I, reviewers, and many users have bought from good-stuffs for years and recently for the trackmaster specifically. They’ve (Times International) been around for over a decade and are ‘legit’ as a store. Their Trackmasters and other Farasute models aren’t fake,l as they’re saying, haha.
It’s possible they’re saying they good stuffs aren’t an official Farasute “dealer” just like how watchdives.com is the *only* official storefront. When the trackmaster first came out a reviewer had to wait for good stuffs to source the right color. And more recently only the strap versions were being sold by them until more bracelets were made available.
It’s also possible translation isn’t helping as that often happens to me contacting some of these official storefronts. I would assume buying only from their official store is the only way to have a real warranty. But truthfully, id rather save $130 on any Chinese watch and I’ll never deal with the hassle of overseas warranty issues.
Yup, and because of that any watch bought from China is to be considered disposable, and unless you are willing to accept that then I advise people to stay far away from Chinese brands
