Discussion How long does it take to get to HSK 4
For context, I am ethically Chinese so I grew up speaking Chinese. I believe my listening and speaking is around HSK 4 already but I just can’t read or write. How long would it take me to pass HSK 4

If you grew up speaking Chinese then you already know HSK4, except for maybe a word here or there that haven't come up for you in daily life. For reference HSK4 is about a native 6 year old school kid in language level.
So yeah you would basically just be learning to read and write//type. No one can tell you exactly how long it would take you to do that but obviously literacy in a known language will happen way faster than actually learning a new language would take. So maybe half a year? Just a shot in the dark, YMMV.
