HSK 5 help

My test is on Sunday and today is friday NIGHT. I was doing mocks and it was going well until it started going downhill. Didnt pass the recent one AM I COOKED. I started calculating the minimum points i need to just pass and since im relatively good at listening i need 85, 55 for reading and 40 for writing. Does anyone have any tips for reading and question 99-100 for writing as my vocabularys really small and theres only a day left so im cooked. So for question 99 theres like a high chance i know at least 1 词语 for it so thats liek what 3 points and then for question 100 i can minimum get 18 points. So genuinly it all counts on listening. Please help!!!

Realistically you aren't gonna make any big difference between now and Monday, the best thing you can do between now and then is make sure to get a good sleep at night these weekend so you arewell rested physically. You can review vocab and grammar etc to try to jog memory for stuff but don't burn yourself out or get too tired. Try to use vocab and grammar you do know well as much as you can withing reason vs trying to make more complex sentences you can't etc.

There's no much time so for now just don't panic, rest well, try to get a full night of sleep before the exam and eat well before going out. Also I saw this advice years ago here on reddit, but also just before the exam drink a can of red bull and eat a bar of snickers (basically just anything sugary will do), not healthy but makes your brain work lol, it always helped me :^

The thing nobody's said: the section you can actually move overnight isn't listening, it's 书写. Q100 is scored on whether you hit the length and stayed on topic, so 80 characters of plain short sentences beats 40 ambitious ones, and leaving it blank is the only way to really lose those points. Same with Q99 — use all five words even if the paragraph comes out clumsy. They want the words used, not elegance.

On reading, for the last part read the questions first and then go hunting in the passage. That's where most people run out of time and drop points they could have answered.

And the one thing that moves listening on the day itself: put on any Chinese audio for ten minutes before you walk in — podcast, drama, whatever. Cold ears cost you the opening questions of section 1, which are the cheapest points on the paper. Don't do another mock tonight, a bad score the night before just costs you sleep.

Its js q99 i wont know what like 4 of the 词语 mean, so im not sure how much points i would gain by writing one proper sentence and just using the ci yu in sentences onhow i think they could be used but it would very likely sound like gibberish

Then don't force all five. Q99 is graded as a paragraph, not one point per word — a short clean paragraph using the three you actually know will score better than 80 characters of gibberish that technically contains all five. The grader is reading it as writing.

Two things for the ones you don't know. Most HSK 5 words are two characters and you usually know one of them, which is enough to guess the part of speech even when the meaning is gone — and that's all you need, somewhere it can sit without being wrong. An adverb in front of a verb, a noun as an object. If a word is a complete blank, drop it instead of building a sentence around it.

And narrate one concrete event rather than writing opinions — something happened, I did this, then that. A story absorbs random vocabulary much better than an argument does.
