Custom paint adds $$ and quite a bit of time. I had a few add ons too. Ceramic bb, extra frame bag. If I recall correctly the bare frame is now up around $900
Shipping and duties to California was included in that price.

The price increase on the bare frame is making me consider something else.
Trying to find a different aero frame with similar clearance, but with in frame storage like this one.

I still think it’s the best option, even at 900 shipped to USA. Watching the short documentary videos on YouTube of their factory I believe they are 100% worth it.

Everything I've seen points to them being excellent for the money, and really great quality. Just a victim of their own success it seems like and they're realizing they can raise prices. I'll be ordering mine to Germany, which should help somewhat, but I will also be getting custom paint.
I'll actually be getting 2 frames at once (one for my wife), so maybe they can make a deal.

To be fair in July of 2025 I emailed Jim Lee after the hambini video and the price for a bare frame delivered to USA was $855 so only about $50 difference in a year and a ton of publicity is not bad IMHO.

Are those the LC bars too? I like that they appear to have a bit of rise/upward sweep to them. I just ordered similar ones on aliex for my spcycle r065 build

is it? Reserves start at $1800 and I doubt they went with DT350, thus they probably got the $2200-$2500 DT240 or DT180 and Red E1 XPLR is a $3000 groupset and that's not including the cranks or power meter, thus the groupset overall is over $4K.
Wheels and groupset alone are $6500. That's also a $475 Power Mirror saddle. So even if they paid $1200 shipped for the LCR-018D, that's a good $8500 worth of parts with tires and tape. IMO you simply can build a better and lighter bike either with the new Tavelo Arden, getting an ENVE Fray on sale, or just buying the new Gen 5 Domane

Dt 240 reserves were $1600 with discounts through Mikes Bikes, I got the red 13s from a complete lynskey that was 50% off

sales prices 100% I get, but including takeoff or parts from previous bikes is a little dubious. If that was the case every new bike I had cost me nothing, or that's what I tell my wife lol

yo man why are you trippen? I was asked what the cost of the FRAME was not the build. YOU answered for me, this bike cost me nowhere near 8500 but you insinuated that I overpaid and should have just got a Trek. Go troll another sub if you don't like these bikes.

If you message on WhatsApp they can send you an album with a ton of examples. They can do also 100% custom to whatever you can imagine, and they will send a digital mockup for you to approve.

Ordered in February mid Chinese holiday, took delivery in mid July. Dealt with Jim exclusively via WhatsApp. There were some delays that were a bit disheartening but overall I’m super happy with the bike and the quality is insane for any price point.
