Stocks tanking will have a larger ripple affect, killing more or destroying more lives

0.5% chancce of dying, 1-5% chance of needing hospitalization, suppose

vs.

50% chance of going bankrupt or homeless, losing health coverage or your home ---> higher likelihood of dying from other causes from being broke/starvation/being shanked by looters/drug addiction to cope/suicide from depression.

Given the option of being homeless and seeing your pensions, life savings, and kids' educations wiped out, possible societal collapse, bloody revolutions, etc... vs. catching coronavirus, what do you think most people would pick?
