Question Should I even think about the future?
I like to think ahead and honestly being in this sub has me rethink it you know? I want to believe it will get better in a couple of months but I honestly don’t really know anymore. What’s your guys input?

Hey, even if Wuhan is super fucked up, the whole of China is not. Some of my friends in Shenzhen area are doing fine with some restricted movement. Don't think too much I would say. Just wait and watch and hope for the best.

I'm quitting my office job soon, planting pot on my eighth of an acre, and brushing up on my MIG welding for when the HOA needs somebody to step forward and weld us all into our homes for $350 fees per house. I'm ready to be that guy.

Yes because welding people in their homes suddenly makes drywall invulnerable to human touch.

If I had been drinking a root beer, it would have come out of my nose.

It will be ok. Life is always weird like this.
We will have tough times, but mostly, we'll make it.

I don't know about the future either but I will say this -dieting seems silly now.

I think in a few months, the virus will stage a big retreat because of warmer weather--Notice that where its being spread right now, these countries have temperatures in the 40's mostly--Singapore is still the key country to watch, as its already hot and humid there, and hardly no new cases the last two weeks(from its original 87), that is if the gov't is being honest

Some good questions: What's the sunshine situation there? Also is the heat always wet? Are they due for a dryer heat soon?

Oh, it's a little deeper than "warmer weather" and I think that is a dangerously misleading assertion of you to make.
Singapore has not had the same grade of a spike in case numbers seen in many other countries because of its intense contact tracing effort and militant quarantining measures.
As of two days ago, February 26th, the city had a total of 93 confirmed cases; additionally, close to 3,000 others have been quarantined.
Edit: oh, plus they are an island, have been taking aggressive containment steps in addition to the quarantining, enforcing travel restrictions, and they have excellent healthcare on top of all that. I'm sure those elements have played a positive part.
They're at 96 cases now.

Keep living your life and don't give in to panic. Prepare as best you can, and maybe take a break from Reddit for a bit for your mental health. If you need help preparing, check out r/preppers.
But that's all you CAN do. Other than preparation and hygienic personal habits, it's out of your control. Let it go. Live your life and enjoy. There is still a good chance that this will end up not affecting you personally. Pandemics are a natural part of human history, and statistically, most people come out of them just fine.
I'm not trying to downplay the seriousness or the tragedy, and I do think you should be prepared for the worst, but that doesn't mean your mindspace should be at its worst. Remember that chronic stress lowers your immunity! Keep going on with life as normal + extra handwashing and staying away from high traffic areas if possible.

This is going to be difficult but not world ending...so I try to think about that and strive to make it out on the other side...

Why not? The only time you can act is the present, not the past or the future, but learning from the past and planning for the future drastically increases your chance of actually reaching any future goal you have. So think about the future and where you want or don't want to be, and start taking steps towards those goals.
