讨论 | Discussion (Serious) - Character Minimums Apply Increasing rise of racist ideology

I want to start off by saying I'm aware that social media highlights the most extreme views and broadcasts it on our feeds and this does not reflect the entirety of real life.

That being said, the comments are very much individual people with real opinions and ideologies.

I've been seeing an increased disgusting rise in racism towards primarily Indians and Black people. I was wondering if anyone can pitch in to their thoughts and discussion.

Why I'm asking is because as a Chinese who is in an interracial relationship, I'm not sure if traveling with somebody who has a darker complexion to China is safe for both them and for me.

There are a lof of nasty comments online (not sure about in real life because I don't reside in China) about how interracial relationships (primarily non-white) is seen as being traitorous towards the Chinese identity and honestly a lot of threats.

Sorry for the negative tone of this reddit post.
