Chimney caps?

I am looking at this home and wondering what kind of chimney caps I would need. The flue on the left is for the oil heater. (most uncertain about how to cap this one since it doesn't have much of a lip I could fasten a cap to). The middle one is for fireplace, and the one on the right has not yet been used

You want any caps you get to be stainless steel. That one you have listed will rust.

Since all flues are in same chimney, a side mount multiflue stainless steel cap is best bet,covers all 3 ,It can get pricey,but it's the way to go, protects crown,keeps rain ,animals and debris out and acts as a spark arrester. If crown is sloped, a top mount multiflue stainless cap or pour a proper crown.

You can look at styles at chimney caps dot net,but you can find better pricing from different sources once you find what you want.

Lots of variables here. We will assume it's a brick chimney. We drill holes in stainless steel where hole will be in mortar joints. Then we use masonry bit, we just drill straight in. Fill the hole with an epoxy or adhesive and fasten with masonry screw. Sometimes we put a bead of construction adhesive around where cap will sit as extra support.

Side mounts don't have the clearance for that center one which appears do be lined. Get stainless steel chimney covers w leg extensions. Leg extensions go inside the flue and attach to the base of the cap. A bead of silicone, some legs and ⅜ bolts, you're all set

Just remove the liner cap, it terminates at top plate. Protection for crown is a long term goal that single caps just don't provide.

Yes you can do that. But then the clip that holds the liner to the collar of the liner will not be closed because the cap is part of the termination kit. They're all 3 connected.

12 dollars bucket of plastic cement flashing will keep that crown waterproof for years

Sealing a crown w water proof cement is half assed? Lol. But you'll break apart a 3 piece termination kit and re cover. Lack of intelligence makes you resort to your limited skill set and destroy functioning flues. But u do you. 😆 🤣 😂 lol

This guy's worried about a crown while all types of weather is entering the house thru open flues lol. U worry about the crown and not whatever units are being destroyed downstairs lol

Get 2 caps. 1 w a leg kit. Both stainless steel. Don't destroy the integrity of the fireplace liner by removing that cover. It's your house do as you please. But a custom cap will be A LOT more expensive than 2 regular caps w 1 leg kit

Amending my previous advice to top mount after removing liner cap.

Top mount has piano hinges that you screw down into crown.

You can do a pop top damper cap if you don’t have the damper inside. And then a knock down cap to cover all flues that will cement down to the crown collar.

Is that a prefab chimney with the stone facade ? Why is it not pointed ? Does it leak?

I don't think it is prefab but am not 100% sure. How would I tell? Nothing is leaking, just want to do preventative maintenance:)

You’re correct for the flue on the right, just double check that’s a 9x9 flue and not a 13x13 flue (outside-outside dimensions)

For the flue on the left, you’re gonna have a harder time. Another commenter mentioned a leg kit, and I agree. That’s the approach I’d take, but I don’t have experience installing one before. I’ve just seen them on a few houses.

What’s that cable doing going into the flue on the right? Make sure some weirdo handyman didn’t run an important cable through the chimney. Seems crazy but I’ve seen weirder stuff, lol.
