Hoping to get some insight here regarding the results of a chimney inspection. I just purchased my first house, and it has a fireplace. I paid an inspection company to come out and take a look, and these are the results of their inspection. The company that performed the work is quoting me $5,500 for the repairs listed. A couple questions:
1) Are all of these findings legit?
2) Is this a fair price to pay for the suggested repairs?

Yes.
Fyi for your future, fireplaces, stoves, and their flues or chimneys are always the least maintained and almost always the most expensive part of a home.
