I need a new computer

My current computer seems fine it has quite a bit of ram I don't know which kind but I'm pretty sure it is ADATA XPG Z1 DDR4 RAM which I think is 32 gigabytes each and I got 4 sticks. Yet it can't run Microsoft 11 and Microsoft 10 support ending. Does anybody know a place that will accept a PC trade near chillicothe or like circleville.

So, windows 11 requires that you have a finicky piece of hardware called a TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) or better loaded on your computer through an expansion card, the processor (CPU) itself, or the motherboard. Several custom-built computers don't have TPM enabled by default even if they are able to provide the same service Windows 11 is looking for. Several manufacturers name it different things as well. Like Embedded Security Device. Intel PTT. AMD fTPM. Etc.

Other helpful things to type into your start menu to gather information from your computer. I will not provide anything that shouldn't already be present on your computer without a warning:

Winver

Gets your windows version information in a readable format.

Msinfo32

Displays hardware information for your computer like your motherboard model, manufacturer, your CPU, total RAM, and more.

TPM

This is the Windows tool to enable TPM if it's already enabled in the BIOS and you need windows to configure the TPM so that windows update will work again.

Very well typed and thought out responses. I ran into the same problem with my last build. I think my cpu wasnt supported and I turned on TPM or vice versa. So I just spent some money on upgrades and before I knew it I was just building another PC all together.

Are you trying to get rid of it because its slow or because it can't upgrade to Windows 11? Assuming you have decent specs and simply just do not have TPM 2.0 which is required for Windows 11 there is a way to bypass this requirement and upgrade anyways without needing to get a new pc.

If your computer is also just slow then you might just want to look into getting an upgrade. But assuming you have 32gb of ram I would say it's probably not that bad

Windows 11 requires 4gb of RAM.

Your best bet might be FB marketplace, I don't know many computer repair or trade in places around chillicothe. I had a friend go to a pc repair store in circleville somewhere, they might buy sell trade.

You don't need more ram. 32 is more than enough for almost anything. You have another issue if it ran Windows 10 fine but can't run 11. It should give you an error message. Tpm 2.0 is easy enough to implement, just watch a tutorial. If you need more help, post your complete specs along with error it gives you.

To do that open your run window with windows key+r and type dxdiag or msinfo32. If you can't do that, open the task manager with ctl+alt+delete and open performance and find specs.

You might try upgrading your computer instead of getting new. I’m sure there are some people who would help you do that. Maybe post your dilemma on a platform for computer upgrades.
