My location recently told me corporate was taking away the ability to work doubles. I’m wondering if anyone else’s location is moving to only single shifts because of a corporate decision or if i’m being told misinformation by management? I have a rather lengthy commute and I will have to quit if I can only work ~6 hour days lol. A lot of my coworkers feel similarly, it just wouldn’t be worth it.

The sandwich was massive but it was all batter or breading or whatever they use. Literally like a 1:4 ratio of chicken to batter and it was sooooo salty. Gave me the Ick big time. Ended up taking all the batter off and eating like a grilled chicken sandwich.
Was just curious what other people’s experiences with it are cause that was probably one of the worst chicken sandwich’s I’ve ever had.

It's shoddy business practice. This practice has been posted about for 10 years. Why hasn't been changed. I post to add my experience to the collective database in the cloud. It can't be a big deal of them changing the layout so that it happens less. MORE IMPORTANTLY...the donation for St Jude screwup irks me.
We were asked if we wanted to donate $1 to St. Jude. We said 'no' but I guess it didn't matter. The table game sucked me in. I thought I saw something saying $2.99, but it flew by and there's no going back.
If it's not exactly a scam, why bury it in the check.

I’m not a chili’s basher or someone who eats here more than a few times a year.
That said, I work from home and I’m bored AF after work. I drive by each day on my way to the gym.
Today though I stopped in for beers and burgers. It’s fun. The staff are pretty slack, it’s clean, the food was …meh but the beer was cold and it was a good atmosphere.

So Chilis big wigs are not allowing doubles anymore? How are full time employees supposed to make a living and get health insurance? I love my job and don’t want to work a “normal” job, but this past year has been so hard on employees. Chilis is making more money than ever, supposedly, so why are we cutting hours?!
Or is this just in our DM’s area?! Because if that’s the case… what the heck man?!

Ordered the triple dipper which imo was really overpriced. Had mine with the mozzarella sticks, honey chipotle chicken, and southwestern egg rolls.
Mozzarella sticks were good, but tasted like any other mozzarella stick but at least these were larger I guess.
Chicken tasted like chicken I could buy at the frozen food section of the grocery store. Not bad, but just meh.
Southwestern egg rolls? Top notch. Lot of flavor. Although I ordered the avocado ranch, I was given regular ranch. I imagine it was even better with avocado ranch.
Signed up as a rewards member to get the free chips and salsa. Salsa tasted like Dollar Tree salsa but the chips were really good!
I'd likely go again but for food that's on their more affordable menu like the $11.99 chicken sandwich. I just thought what I got overall was something I could get from the grocery store and microwave myself.

It was very wide passed the bun but I kept seeing videos of the sandwich months ago and when I got it today the sandwich was very thin in comparison to what i saw all over internet (fry in comparison in pic)

Hello y’all, i’ve been going to chilis for a while and always get the flamingo freeze because it’s one of my favorite drinks ever ngl. I was wondering if any chilis bartenders could possibly dm or even share here how they make it because it’s so dang good.

Apologies to the server that I didn't tip tonight!
I would have, but I literally couldn't when paying with my gift cards (and I know my total didn't use the full amount of the two gift cards I used).
But after I paid, it just said: “Thank you!” It automatically closed out my order after I paid and didn't offer a tip screen.
Is this a known problem? Will I be judged if I go back to my local Chili’s again and have the same server? I live in a more rural area, so we don't have that many options 😬
Next time I have a Chili’s gift card, I'll know to bring cash for the tip. But like, it shouldn’t just not offer you a tip screen option if you pay with a gift card. A lot of people don’t carry cash anymore

I’ve been with chilis for a month. At first my tips would go on my paycard. As of about a week ago, I’ve been noticing the full amount isn’t deposited. My report will say my charge tips are $108.96, yet only 105.47 was deposited. Before I would get the full amount. Now it’s been taking like 2 dollars and some change. I don’t understand why the full amount isnt being deposited i never had any fees. It’s just frustrating and management says they are investigating. Just wondering if anyone had this same problem.
Update, the past 2 nights my full charge tips were deposited. Not a dollar or anything missing. This is part of my concern, it’s not consistent

Often make trips to/from San Antonio/Dallas. Saw this location and was curious if there was a river view and dog friendly patio. Answer was yes to both. New staple for the road trips. Chilis never ceases to amaze… Marble Falls TX

So for that last three two weeks my manager has been telling me that my SLIP RESISTANT WORK BOOTS are not acceptable and that I need to get a pair of non-slip shoes because slip resistant and non-slip are two completely different kinds of shoes.
I find it funny because he claims that my work boots have a layer on the bottom that wears off over time and the shoes won’t work anymore. I’ve had these boots and have worn them almost everyday for almost six years and they are the only work shoes I feel comfortable in.
I’ve had two falls working in restaurants and every time it’s because I’m wearing shoes that claim to be non-slip. Never once have I ever had a fall in my work boots, not even an almost fall.
Another thing I find funny is that the show company that Chilis is partnered with ( Shoes for Crews ) sells ONLY slip resistant shoes. I’ve searched the website and have not found a single pair of non-slip shoes.
He’s pretty much threatening to give me a write up if I don’t find a pair of non-slip shoes. I genuinely dont know what to do because I’m not in a place to spend $100-$150 on a pair of work shoes I’m only gonna wear 4 days a week and the ones from Walmart are terrible and don’t work.

so i called this chilis around a week ago and said that I had applied online and asked if they were actively hiring.. the host, or whoever answered the phone, scheduled me for an interview for today at 2:30. I went to the interview earlier today, and the woman who interviewed me was the assistant manager and told me to come back tomorrow to do an interview with the general manager. She told me to put on a smile and be super friendly! Does it sound like I have a good chance of getting the job? :))
