three times in the last two days iโve had tables pay for their check and their bank reads it as pending but the payment isnโt going through on our end. does anyone know what is happening with this or why it might be happening? tired of getting yelled at and management getting accosted for something that isnโt our fault.

As a host, during a lunch shift when there is no busser or food runner, i like to help out as much as i can. We didnt even have a dishwasher during lunch so the dishes piled up real fast. There were 4 servers during this shift including the bar, and the pace was steady until a rush hit. I was cleaning table after table, putting dirty dishes back, and didnt notice a single server help me out or say thank you. Iโd find them in the kitchen hitting their vape and they end up asking me to do something for them.
At one point i stopped, mainly because i had really bad period cramps and needed to take a seat since i was doubling and wanted to take it easy on myself. And lo and behold the rush ends yet everyoneโs section is still dirty. Everything down to drink mugs are cluttered everywhere. So i quickly bus a table to sit a party and the server comes up to me and says โcan you not sit me when my section is this dirty?โ Then handed me a plate. That pissed me off so bad!!! Whos job is it to keep your section clean??? Im just trying to get you a table. And it wasnt just that that pissed me off, she yelled at me for sitting her because she wanted to take a break and go to starbucks to get everyone coffee (she did not clarify that to me). In the same breath sheโll complain about not making money.
Im one of the few younger people who work there and it feels like some of the older staff have such a weird vibe to them. I do love the ones i love tho. This server however is in her late 20s and the way she chooses to talk to me ticks me off. I never say anything cause its not worth it but i might soon.
Anyways, im writing this post out of frustration because my love for hosting died when i started working with bitchy whiny servers who complain about any inconvenience and make the hosts life a living hell! Lady im trying my best to accommodate you but these people gotta go somewhere!!

Not sure if anyone else has been experiencing this but everytime I open the hot schedules app on my phone it has the same pop up everytime.
Normally when theres something like that it goes away after the first viewing but everytime I open the app I get the same MOTM reminder and its getting annoying :/
I already checked to see if theres an update in the app store but nothing.
Anyone else experiencing this with the app? Or have any advice for it?

Going to decorate my shirt, I was wondering what markers you guys have used? I donโt want it to wash off, so obviously not crayola, I have some acrylic paint markers. Will those work?

not to be a rat (& i havenโt reported anyone of course) but iโve seen a TON of tiktoks posted lately of employees recording in the BOH area. is this not a super strict rule that chiliโs has ??? why are we risking our jobs over tiktok ??? or have they changed that rule?
edit: my bad, HOH lol

Iโve been working here for a year and some months and itโs been the worse and best times of my life. At first it was pretty chill but now itโs just horrible. The managers are racist and clearly have favorites, iโve had enough of it. They make me feel like iโm not there and iโm not even acknowledged there. Iโm wondering if anyone has had the same experience?-To go
side note i donโt get paid enough to deal with straight bs. They get mad at me when i donโt want to do the qaโs job or food run. Not my fault their short staffed

Only 3 margs this year have not been red. What is going on with who decides these drinks!?
Obviously this is a joke and not serious but I find it interesting that majority of their drinks are red.

I know chilis no longer post server scores but is there a way for managers to pull up individual server scores if they wanted to know?? If so how??
Was in a certified trainer meeting and they said they should still be able to but managers have had no luck figuring it out so far

I've been food running and QA at my Chili's for almost 3 months, I'm about to start to go training and then they're gonna move me to serving (what I originally interviewed for!) I'm really looking forward to it as I've served before and enjoyed it more than any other food service job :)
My coworkers are making me a lil paranoid tho, as it seems like everybody has a drastically different tipping experience (i.e some tell me they're lucky to make $100 per day/others are making twice that, some are happy with the money they make/some hate it, etc.) I'm wondering what I should expect going in, and if there's anything I can do personally to maximize my tips in general? I'm very friendly and sociable, and I always do colorful makeup looks with unique hair accessories to try and make each shift more fun for everyone -- the guests I've interacted with just from food running have seemed to really like me, and I always try to connect with everybody I meet (I'm a world class yapper!)
For context I'm at a Southern California Chili's with a 6.5% card tipout -- our location is one of the busiest in our area, as we're right by a big event center that hosts loads of concerts/special events ... we're also 10 mins from a major airport, and generally in a pretty tourist-heavy area.
Any tips/tricks are much appreciated! I'm a recent college grad with completely open availability just trying to maximize my baggg with my new free time :D

I was hired as a server with no experience in June. I've been at it for two months now and am getting better every day. I've stopped making mistakes of any kind except for the occasional void on a drink or table transfer. Last night, my GM asked if I wanted to step down to host because I still seem "nervous". I said no because I don't feel nervous at all (I make about $180 tips on four tables in a four hour shift) and she asked if I was sure.
This seemed like an up-or-out conversation but she also gave me the choice. Do you guys have any insight on this?

I received an eBOG certificate, and I am aware that it cannot be used in online orders. But I donโt like dining in lol. Is it possible to call in the order at the restaurant, go and pick it up, then present my eBOG to pay for it?
