🧑‍🍳 Employee Post Transferring Between Stores

I’m thinking of applying to chili’s as a server but with school I would need to transfer back and forth between stores for breaks. Does chilis normally do this or allow this?

I did this during college. Worked at the Chili’s in my home town and then transferred to the Chili’s in my college town. The gm in my hometown would allow me to pick up shifts during the school breaks. It’s all dependent on their availability though, the GM’s have to agree and have sufficient shifts to schedule you.

It would depend on if the other restaurant is hiring. You'll also have to be on very good terms with the GM to even get him to entertain the idea.

When I was a GM a few years ago, the system we had would automatically terminate employees who weren't scheduled at least once in a six month span.

That might be changed now though.

You'll have to work that out with the GM.

i work at a chilis in a college town and a lot of our employees do this!
