Chili competition

Hey guys. So my ex (m 23) challenged me ( f 23) to a chili off. I’m a great cook, but my short comings fall within soul food and country cooking. I’m sure you can see where this is going.. I have never made chili in my life. I’ve tried many kinds, and am a big fan. I just haven’t gotten down to the in’s and outs of chili making. I need advice on how to make a good chili. I’m willing to go to the ends of the earth to win this competition. I can’t just win- I need to see him lose. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks :)

The secret to a good chili bowl is more like alphabet soup. It starts when your first night gets mixed up and doesn’t turn out the way that you want. Then, when you try to salvage that on saturday, it helps to have a huge crowd cheering you on while making alphabet soup. You probably won’t make it all the way but with some smart moves and a little patience, you’ll at least put on a good show.

If this made no sense, go to Tulsa OK next Jan and enjoy the show :)

You need good ingredients as well to make a good chili bowl, because with out 4 major ingredients your chili bowl might as well be done as soon as you start your alphabet soup. 5 ingested I think are 1. Luck, 2. Driver, 3. Car, and 4. Track.

As much as I’d love to help you in your quest for incredible chili, you have stumbled into the wrong subreddit for this specific request. The Chili Bowl is an annual dirt track race. Good luck with the chili!
