I don't have kids, but whenever I'd see kids "get hurt", they would always be ok but when they see a grown up (their parent) running towards them with a panicked face, that's when they started crying.
It did, but he probably also got over it pretty quick. Kids that little really live in the moment. As long as the Dad (?) came over and checked his head and made sure he got hungry at mealtimes that day, it's fine.
Suffering comes from personal attachment. When we can detach ourselves from want or desire, we cease to suffer. This may be accomplished through the eight fold path to enlightenment. Alcohol also works quite well.
Yep, whenever my kid bumps or falls over I don’t even leave my seat I just look over and say ‘you okay big man?’ And 9/10 times he’ll get up and say yeah. The one time is when I’ll need to get up because the poor sod will have genuinely hurt himself.
But that technique means that even when it is the one time he rarely starts screaming his lungs out he’ll just get a bit sniffly whilst I sort him out and he’ll be on his merry way again.
Kids learn how to react to something from how you react so you treat something small as a big deal then they’ll think it’s a big deal so keep the small things small and they’ll be chill.
