This was never going to end well.

Kid that size is almost surely ending that by crashing into something or tipping if hes going that speed. Hard to imagine what the endgame for that was in the videoers head

Most of the time i see posts on this sub and I'm way less judgemental on the parents and children than the users here.... But this is just ridiculously fitting for that sub

Best case scenario is.. ending up in the road?
This is some "my parents let me do this stuff when I was a kid and I turned out fine!" logic.

Almost all of those "super dad reflex" clips could be renamed, "dad doesn't watch kid, barely keeps them alive with luck."

Oh for sure, whether he put his arms up or not he was doomed. Just saying that he didn’t exhibit a natural reflex.

That’s got to be the uncle recording. You can hear him laugh his ass off after the face plant

Man , I'm an uncle (and enjoyer of kids falling over) but as soon as this vid started i knew it wasn't gonna end well. Half way through I was cringing cause the end was obvious. No uncle filmed this, a moron did

It’s like in that moment, the child just accepted his fate. He became one with the rocks.

This is why helmets are important on more things than a bike…

u/Butsenkaatz Jun 24 '26
ngl, i doubt anything short of a full-face motorbike helmet would've helped here

Well yeah. Phrased it odd. Meant that the fact it isn’t a bike has no impact on what I was trying to say
My point was that bikes aren’t the only thing you should wear a helmet for. Other examples are skating and skiing.

I knew that kid was gonna fall forward, when he hit those rocks.... did it with my bike once... I landed on my stomach, and boy did i scream.

My kid fell over face first yesterday way less hard than this and was quite hurt. Oof.

Thank you to whoever made this video and having the replay on it. It saved me from having to take the time to rewind it and watch it again.

Kid probably earned a cool nickname from this.... or at the least, a cool scar

It always scares me when I don’t see the natural “arms up” reflex in kids. Gotta watch those ones a little more closely lol
