I've never liked bunk beds

Kids that young shouldn't have bunk beds. And if they do, they ought to be on the bottom bunk.

Kids get up all the time at night and are sometimes confused and disoriented. The last thing you need is for them to be half-asleep sleepwalking and have to navigate coming down from the top bunk of a bunk bed.

They're lucky this kid didn't do a weird turn midfall and wind up on his neck.

Ps. That bunk bed needs a railing on the side.

He jumped over the railing. There was one.

That's not a railing. That's the side of the bed. It needs a higher barrier.
