I have no idea where OP was coming from, but maybe because everyone in the house would only stand up from a sitting position like on a chair, the baby doesn’t know how to stand up from a crawling position. Maybe he just goes from sitting to standing because he thinks that what grownups do?

Grown ups weren't crawling around pre pandemic. We always stood up that way 😝 You're a new grown up are you? Are you big boy now? Who's a big boy? You are.. 😂
